We're thrilled to present Camel Riders' brand new release titled 'Tchuga' by Max Tenrom feat. Karmaâ, incl. remixes by Assem, Ānumān, Rammö.
The Toulouse-based producer Max Tenrom is serving us in his debut EP on Camel Riders, three diverse and exquisite originals: 'Tchuga feat Karmaâ', 'Sinaï', and 'Green Horde', which are accompanied by three splendid remixes. Max Tenrom's originals navigate through Organic and exotic Downtempo sounds to deep and melodic Techno sonorities. Sometimes melancholic and often uplifting, these three mesmerizing tunes exhibit a wide range of palettes and moods: Colourful, obscure and warm, Max Tenrom displays in this versatile release a melodic trip around the world with a sophisticated and futuristic approach. Organic instruments such as flutes, Pantam, Sax, Violin and percussive sounds collide with deep, profound, mystical and cinematic electronic melodies, seasoned with fresh, deep and touching vocal fragments, all framed with a pinch of ethnic vibes.
On remix duty, we have the pleasure to welcome Rammö to Camel Riders with his Downtempo-ish trippy interpretation of the EP theme track, which puts an emphasis on organic elements and instruments with a pinch of dubby vibes and glorious acidic sounds. Coming up next, we are thrilled to have back the Egyptian producer Assem, with his splendid remix for Sinaï, which keeps the cinematic vibes of the original, while giving a fresh and windy twist with a focus on the middle-eastern melodies and sounds. Last but not least we have the pleasure to welcome the Paris-based producer Ānumān, with his remix for 'Green Horde' which is taking the original into warmer and deeper grounds, with its colorful and optimistic rhythms, framed by a cinematic base-line and hypnotizing bell percussive sounds.

Spotify’s fastest-growing electronic producer (Viberate) Ben Böhmer and GRAMMY-winning multi-instrumentalist/composer Rob Moose (Bon Iver, Taylor Swift, Phoebe Bridgers, FKA Twigs) showcase their unexpected and riveting collaboration on The Apparitions EP via Anjunadeep, boasting four reworked tracks from Böhmer’s highly-acclaimed 2021 sophomore album Begin Again.

The EP marks the first artist release from Rob Moose, who contributed to 12 of Pitchfork’s top 200 albums of the last 25 years, since the Copycat Killer EP with Phoebe Bridgers in 2020, which featured his “devastating orchestral arrangements” (Pitchfork) as well as his first collaboration with an electronic producer; the result is a brain-tingling mesh of melodies and cinematic wistfulness. 

The Apparitions release follows stand-out single “Home ft. JONAH (An Apparition),” that highlights Böhmer’s elegant yet whimsical production brilliantly contrasted by Moose’s sweeping string arrangements. The track was picked as Chillest Record on Sian Eleri’s BBC Radio 1 Chillest Show last night. She says “this might be one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever heard”. 
On the collaboration, Moose says, “I loved getting to work with Ben and the featured singers on this project. In the beginning, we weren't sure what shape our collaboration would take, and almost as a lark, I tried muting all the album stems and building the entire structure with just strings. To my delight, Ben liked this approach, and I went deep with all the stems, studying fx artifacts and minute timings to try to translate electronic sounds onto a body of strings without losing the magical idiosyncrasies of the original work. I hope that the EP feels familiar to fans of the album, but pulls their ears and their hearts in unexpected directions.”

2021 was a stand-out year for Böhmer who was called “the new star of the world electronic scene” by Vogue UA. Boasting over 110 million streams, and a recent remix alongside A.G. Cook on  Rostam’s Changephobia Remixes: Part 2 in addition to the release of Begin Again, he won Best Live [Streamed] Act Award at the AIMs in what has been arguably the most competitive year for live-streamed performances, beating out artists such as Phoebe Bridgers, Arlo Parks, and beabadoobee. Böhmer recently announced his Worldwide album tour, selling out 95% of his dates (+35k tickets) in just two months, including the iconic Roundhouse London, the Fonda Theatre in LA, and 2x shows at Great American Music Hall San Francisco.

Anjunadeep welcomes Berlin-based producer and live act Nils Hoffmann to the label with his first standalone release ‘9 Days / Cranes’. On 12 November, Jason Ross delivers the thirteenth mix in the series. 

“Jason has been creating dance music since he was a teenager. 'Elements', Jason's 2015 single on Anjunabeats, was a strong debut, but it was his collaboration with Wrechiski, 'Atlas', that really got people talking. 
The first night we met Jason was at Madison Square Garden, just after we'd played three of his records to the world (including 'Atlas'). He was a charming fellow and he's been on fire ever since, dropping singles like 'Cairo', 'Me Tonight' and 'Valor'. Jason's tunes always have a place in our sets.

In 2017, Jason's first collaboration with Seven Lions, 'Higher Love' feat. Paul Meany, signalled the start of a bold, new chapter for Jason's sound. Their back-to-back set at Group Therapy 250 sealed the deal: Jason is now a regular fixture on Seven Lions' Ophelia imprint. 

No matter what style he’s turning his attention to, his productions are always energetic, ambitious and polished.

"I found Anjunabeats in a rather unique way. I heard ATB's '9PM (Till I come)' at a young age, and from there I was always on a mission to find songs that hit my heart that same way. It wasn't until High School that a friend of mine showed me this radio show, Trance Around The World. Every song I heard took my breath away. It was at that moment that I knew I had found my home.

I had been producing electronic music since I was 12. I really honed in on trance and Anjunabeats during my time in college, and that's when I was picked up by Above & Beyond. The next thing I remember, I'm in the stands in Madison Square Garden and they're playing 3 of my tracks in front of thousands of people. That's where it all began for me.

Anjunabeats has been home to me ever since then, and the fans and artists are truly what make it a special place. I chose the tracks that have inspired me over the years, while including my own releases that have played a part of the label's incredible 20 years. Hope you enjoy it! Much love." - Jason Ross
