LNOE134 sees the return of Spencer Brown on the label after his well received remix for Dubspeeka’s ‘Geb’. This time the 27-year old provides a double-tracker EP that reflects his brand of forward-thinking dance music that defies quick-shifting industry trends.

The sound of the EP shows more of Spencer’s stripped back side, with both tracks hitting the spot. Using minimal elements and effects, the listener get’s draw in for a sweet and mysterious ride on ‘Cumulonimbus Incus’ while saving the monstrous heavy drums for ‘Sea Caverns’, a proper club banger. Spencer comments; “Silver Linings EP was entirely written during lockdown. I’m a big fan of atmospheric, more experimental progressive and techno, and lockdown provided me with the time to experiment in this vein of production. Once I wrote Cumulonimbus Incus (named after the soaring feeling of my favourite cloud) and Sea Caverns (named after the sonar pulse and deep sea bass), I sent the music to Sasha, one of my biggest inspirations. I’m absolutely honoured that he loved the music, and Last Night on Earth was the perfect fit for these sounds. While these were written in a dark place during lockdown, getting signed by one of my heroes turned out to be a silver lining of endless COVID studio time.”

We’re over the moon to have Spencer on the label and get these hard-hitters out in the world. 16th of July will see Spencer Brown’s EP debut on LNOE - available across all digital platforms.

My very  first album , Resona, is a sonic journey through different resonances. Fully recorded in Guadalajara, Resona is the combination of brass with jazz and electronic influences. 

Over the past two years, i'v visited Guadalajara seven times to record different types of sounds and vibration. From the mystical trombon, to the edgy trumpet, and the low frequency Tuba as well as vocals and drums, Maga mixed these different sounds with an electronic edge. 

The objective was to create an easy listening album that would touch multiple generations and ethnicities.

We're extremely happy to present a recent discovery which in the electronic music universe: London-based artist Sonnee creates introspective dance music, more suited for late night headphone listening than the dance-floor. Together with his first EP, "Your Love", he presents an outstanding "Love Potion" exclusively here on Schirmchendrink!

Still in his early-20s, Sonnee recently relocated from Manchester to London and is confidently forging an exciting musical path for himself in the capital.

With his first EP out on Attack Decay Sweet Release, a new label from the management team behind Model Man and Lawrence Hart, Sonnee offers four tracks combining ambient soundscapes, emotive electronica and lush breakbeat rythms. 

The EP has been made over a transitory period of Sonnee's life, as he moved cities, changed jobs and started a new relationship. Each track is very different, representing different types of love.

Your Love's soundscape was captured on his very first day in London on a portable sound recorder. The feeling of the city bustles through the track, as the melodic percussion is immersed in foley from the capital’s nightscape.

'Leave The Water Still', which earned Jaguar' s 'Dance Floor Moment' on BBC Radio 1 and saw remixes from international newcomer Katta Lily, is the impressive opening track of the EP.

'Say it now' is about the exciting infatuation stage of a new relationship, and for Violet, a beautifully smooth ambient track, is about family.

Definitely an artist to watch and we're excited to learn where Sonnee's journey will lead to. For now, we let the blissful vibes of this Love Potion sprinkle our souls.

'Last year Spanish producer Martín HERRS celebrated his debut on Mobilee. It's been almost a year and we're happy to welcome him back on the label presenting two eclectic tracks, novelly but staying true to his style, combining broken beat and melodies. 

The EP 'Night Call' is a tribute to after hour phone calls with musical friends that keep inspiring and motivating an artist. That motivation is highly needed, as B-Side 'LLNSN' paints, which is an abbreviation for 'La Lucha No Se Negocia' ('The Fight Is Not Negotiated'). '

Berlin-based duo Aaaron & Deckert continue their path out of the darkness and into the light with the 'Shadows' EP on Chapter 24. 

They are joined by a third Berliner - the accomplished DJ, vocalist and songwriter Meggy - on the A-side. It's a powerful, rolling cut, textured and full of swagger, set off by Meggy's dusky signature vocal that combines equal parts darkness and soul.

Three Editions add to the mix and each offer a different flavour. Label regular JOBE throws in cosmic flair and tension, perfect for peak time. Meanwhile, rising star Sobek reimagines the harmony of the track to bring extra emotion and mystery to proceedings. KatrinKa's rework is deep and hypnotic, punctuated with piano stabs and gently enveloping synth lines.

The package is completed by 'Hide' on the flip. Bumping tribal toms set the scene before a killer synth line takes hold. All in all it's a feel good affair, though not completely black and white.

Out of the night and lit by moonlight, Aaaron & Deckert make their ascent on Chapter 24.
