The sophisticated raciness of Dole & Kom is always a fascinating thing to witness. Their title ‘Samoja’ means serious business in terms of beats, bass and the resulting danceability. The playful instrumentations and afro vocal part of this title create a very musical counterpart. ‘Juniper’, their streamlined second track on this EP, follows a trajectory that clearly aims at a good time on the dancefloor while its mighty hypnotic potential remains hovering in the background like an otherworldly presence. Variation is always good and that's why there's two remixes, as well: Mollono.Bass with an energetic departure and Elfenberg with a tribalistic flow experience.

Berlin based duo Mat.Joe pair up with Chicago native Kid Enigma on their second DFTD release ‘Get Loose’, following their 2018 dancefloor cut ‘Dayum’. Their distinctive style fusing together dance music with soul and hip-hop makes a perfect match for Kid Enigma’s classic house influenced style of production. Certain records just give you that feeling of summertime, and ‘Get Loose’ is one of them, with looped gravelly vocals, an irresistible beat and uplifting instrumentals delivering a track that is prepped for sunshine filled dancefloors.

London’s Anii closes out the EP with a tribal-infused club rework to transform ‘Painting Out’ from idyllic downtempo into a tech-heavy club edit.

Hannah Wants returns to her signature imprint, Etiquette, with brand new killer single ‘Love Somebody’; an essential club ready track that was made for the dance floor. Following up from her recent release on Solardo’s ‘Sola Miami 2019’ compilation and a string of successful remixes on Brock Wild and Mad Decent, Hannah’s latest offering ‘Love Somebody’ has been a staple in her DJ sets over the past few months with massive crowd reactions across the globe. The track oozes Hannah’s instantly recognisable sound with vivacious drum grooves, arpeggiated synths, a low end stuttering bassline and infectious chopped vocal cuts.

Now, what do we have here... A brand new offering by Mr. Panthera Krause. You know, Krause as in Riotvan shareholder and co-curator, fun guy behind the decks (and in general) and last but not least innovator and maverick of all things House. Krause has been proven over the course of his previous EPs on Riotvan that his approach to electronic music is one of a kind and never lacks a certain tongue in cheek attitude. Exactly that is now validated by these two new cuts, maybe more concise and on point than ever. And these tunes are not only an indicator about where the boy is at right now, they are also a foretaste of an album that will be released later that year on Riotvan.

Side one contains the "Genki Girl", a character of the rather quirky kind, it seems. Krause introduces a beat rich in cowbell and tambourine use, topped by a guitar lick, that sparks some memories of that time when Funk and Punk fell in love and a label like DFA had its heydays. While adding synth arrangements, one could assume, Krause might've gone a bit bonkers for a second. And that's applying to both, the rhythmic patterns as well as the lead that throughout time gets adapted by various other instruments. A rich and haywire tune that still retains an utmost floor appeal. 

Same goes for "Spring Irre" on the flipside. As the German title already indicates, this one is even nuttier. Guitar samples triggering a certain Talking Heads memento meet eccentric pitchshift modulations and an indeed jumping bass sounding as if it was played by Bootsy Collins on ephedrine. A sidestepping, plain unpredictable monster of a track that despite of all its complexity at any moment delivers groove and joy and unrestricted frenzy.
