Following his much-loved remixes of Maribou State and ODESZA released on Anjunadeep in 2015, label favourite Daniel Goldstein aka Lane 8 returns with two stellar reworks of George FitzGerald’s 2017 anthem ‘Burns’.

Lane 8’s ‘Morning Mix’ is an ode to the lush atmosphere of the original, a highlight from George’s sophomore album ‘All That Must Be’ released earlier this year on Domino. With the original’s mesmerising vocal chops front and centre, Goldstein blends tranquil piano arpeggios and stuttering synth stabs to create a pensive soundscape imbued with melancholy.

The ‘Club Mix’ is a showcase of Lane 8’s trademark sound. Detuned chords, void-like atmospheres, and a thumping four-to-the-floor kick drum combine to create a fierce peak-time soundtrack.

Berlin-based duo Aaaron & Deckert continue their path out of the darkness and into the light with the 'Shadows' EP on Chapter 24. 

They are joined by a third Berliner - the accomplished DJ, vocalist and songwriter Meggy - on the A-side. It's a powerful, rolling cut, textured and full of swagger, set off by Meggy's dusky signature vocal that combines equal parts darkness and soul.

Three Editions add to the mix and each offer a different flavour. Label regular JOBE throws in cosmic flair and tension, perfect for peak time. Meanwhile, rising star Sobek reimagines the harmony of the track to bring extra emotion and mystery to proceedings. KatrinKa's rework is deep and hypnotic, punctuated with piano stabs and gently enveloping synth lines.

The package is completed by 'Hide' on the flip. Bumping tribal toms set the scene before a killer synth line takes hold. All in all it's a feel good affair, though not completely black and white.

Out of the night and lit by moonlight, Aaaron & Deckert make their ascent on Chapter 24.

Anjunadeep’s Explorations series returns with the highly anticipated ‘Explorations 08’. This edition plays host to five label debutants, whilst warmly welcoming back Tim Engelhardt and David Hohme.

The compilation opens with the original and instrumental mixes of Tim Engelhardt's and Lazarusman’s eccentric vocal-house track ‘This Life’. Moving from rhythmic claps for swirling synths, next up is Enamour's ‘Ruby’. First heard in the ABGT300 Deep Set, ‘Ruby’ marks an immense label debut for the American producer. Next, David Hohme & Dustin Nantais combine for 'Onward Only’ - a sweet vocal-led track of swelling synths. Closing out the compilation is the tribal ’Native Therapy’, a luxuriant arrangement of jungle sounds and deep subs by debutants Zone+ & M.O.S.

When asked by my good friends at Iboga if i wanted to make a compilation aiming at the slower, more downbeat side of the music spectrum, of course I immediately said yes.
So much great downbeat music has emerged over the past 2-3 years, and the scene has been growing rapidly, with many sub-genres seeing the light of day.
My thoughts about the selection of tracks was that they should be deep, moody, trippy, well produced ,and layered with tribalistic rhythm patterns. And a sexy bassline wouldn't hurt either!
So I started to get in contact with friends and some of my favourite producers in the genre, and slowly but surely, a story was starting to unfold...a sonic horizon, filled with music dear to my heart. Enjoy!

The international duo KMLN unites the Italian producer and multi-instrumentalist Christopher Tooker with Canadian producer Shawna Hofmann. Their paths crossed eight years ago. Since then, they have been an integral part of the global deep-eclectic-house movement. Together with the mexican musician Roderic, they are creating an interplay of yesterday's sounds and tomorrow's sounds combined with deep, rare rhythms and the typical cosmic note. Roderic's music is hard to categorize, you can find him e.g. in jazz, blues, latin and trance too. The EP ‘Aurora’ is supported by remixes by Luca Musto, Holger Hecler and The Invisible People.

A showcase of fresh talent from the global electronic scene, Anjunadeep’s Explorations series returns this August for its eleventh instalment. We welcome a stellar lineup; two Anjunadeep alumni in Hosini, Ocula, and five label debutants in Quivver, Simon Doty, Limara, Ariana Mur, and Luigi Sambuy.

Following his Beatport top ten EP ‘Syna’, Stockholm-based producer Hosini returns to the label after a two year hiatus with ‘Dimma’, a track built on an alluring chord progression and exotic percussion.

Next up, a stalwart of the British electronic scene. John Graham marks his first full solo release on the label as Quivver with his compelling single ‘Long Time’. Previously featured on Anjunadeep 05 under Jungle alias Skanna, Graham's nostalgic but technical sound design reflects his long standing tenure in the game.

Simon Doty signals great things to come with a flourishing array of arpeggios in ’Sama’. With releases on Einmusika and Last Night On Earth, and a stellar Anjunadeep Edition under his belt, we’re excited to welcome the Toronto-based producer for his first label showing. 

Since his label debut ‘Immunity’ featured on Anjunadeep 10, Ocula now makes a strong return with ‘Empirical’. Equal parts progressive and deep, ‘Empirical’ demonstrates why the UK producer has seen extensive support from Deadmau5, Lane 8, and BBC Radio 1’s Phil Taggart.

Next is Limara’s mesmerising ‘Angelica’. A UK based label debutant also known as Owen Westlake, Limara’s forward-thinking productions have seen him release on This Never Happened and support Lane 8 on his UK tour. 

Representing Russia, Arina Mur makes her debut with ‘Magic Wand’. A melodic track peppered with organic sound design, ‘Magic Wand’ signals a strong beginning for Mur, whose production finds inspiration from the nights promoting her renowned club night, Scerdlovskiy Deep.

An exciting new producer based out of San Francisco, Luigi Sambuy performs and produces with an array of analogue gear. His debut release, ‘Jakarta’ is a collage of understated plucks and warm outboard synths.

Swedish producer Bård Ericson (aka boerd) brings a lofty serenity to his latest single, ‘Before We Drown’ ft. Stella Explorer.

Working in collaboration with vocalist Stella Explorer, this new cut sees the producer continue the soft and melancholic tones he conjured for his last EP release. While normally one to explore the sonic heights of electronic music, ‘Before We Drown’ sees the beatmaker work with a more dulcet atmosphere, adding a blend of organic instrumentation to his latest work in order to create a warmer and inviting composition that mirrors the evolutionary sound he has been always looked to incorporate.

As a regular member of the Royal Swedish Opera, Swedish Radio Symphony, and Stockholm Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Ericson has also proven himself as an accomplished double bass player for numerous ensembles around the world. Touring Tokyo, Stockholm, and New York, the producer performed in the Philip Glass opera ‘Satyagraha’ earlier this year (including four sold out shows in Brooklyn’s illustrious Harvey Theatre), he also recently contributed as a member of Andrea Bocelli’s orchestra throughout his Scandinavian tour. This deep immersion in the classical world of opera and orchestra is masterfully exhibited in boerd’s otherworldly sound.

While teaser EP ‘Misplaced I’ saw him experiment with sparse and ethereal ideas, ‘Before We Drown’, lifted from his forthcoming studio album ‘Misplaced’, feels like a far richer approach for his next incarnation. With its pulsing bassline and sultry vocals, the track sees him bring a more layered and textured style to his abstract intentions.

boerd will release ‘Before We Drown’ ft. Stella Explorer on the 4th October via Anjunadeep, with his forthcoming studio album ‘Misplaced’ arriving later this year.

Into The Night EP saw the duo reaffirm their club sensibilities, plying impassioned lyrics amongst deep techno-leaning productions. Much like the reimagining of their Night Blooming Jasmine EP, Eli & Fur once again get the remix treatment courtesy of John Monkman, Black Circle, and Ben Yang in Into The Night EP (The Remixes).

Endorsed by the likes of Crosstown Rebel's Damian Lazarus, Danish titan Noir and LNOE boss Sasha, the UK’s John Monkman takes on 'You and I’, emphasising the original’s vocal hook with addictive stuttered synths. With releases on Radiant and Saved Records, Black Circle makes his Anjunadeep debut with his remix of ‘Into The Night’, an afro-centric piece full of driving arpeggios. Lastly, label debutant Ben Yang imparts his tech-house sound to Eli & Fur’s ‘You and I’, a remix reminiscent of Anjunadeep’s progressive roots.
