German producer Martin Roth has made numerous appearances on both Anjuna labels with remixes for the likes of Super8 &amp; Tab, Boom Jinx &amp; Andrew Bayer and Jaytech &amp; James Grant, and this EP sees him bring his skills very much to the fore.
First up is ‘Deep Style’; an edgy and industrial sounding powerhouse, it’s intricately layered with taut, string-led atmospherics, murky interludes, intermittent dashes of cowbell percussion and echoey, downtuned synths. One of the standout tracks from the Anjunadeep: 03 compilation, ‘Deep Style’ is deliciously deep and dark prog at its very best.
B-Side Alaçatı couldn’t be more different; an early or mid-setter with a distinctive summery vibe, its luscious, velvety swathes of synth and deep, lazy house groove also make it perfect for early morning or after-hours listening.

Anjunadeep have a history of unearthing tomorrow's talents and in Russia's Pavel Iudin aka Paronator they may well have found another. 

A dreamy deep house groove that instantly caught the ear of Anjunadeep A&R James Grant, "No Gravity" floats along blissfully on a bed of hypnotic keys and electronic grooves; subtle shifts and organic percussive flourishes adding extra complexities.

Focussing on an increasingly deep house-centred style, German producer Martin Roth returns to Anjunadeep with appropriately titled "Beautiful Life" and the sultry "Make Love To Me Baby". 

Clearly containing some of the DNA from Martin's previous outing "Deep Style", "Beautiful Life" is laced with languid, downtuned grooves and layers moody interludes, softly echoing vocal fades and some gorgeous swathes of synth to conjure an edgy deep house number. 

Offering a more sunny contrast, the sultry and seductive sounds of "Make Love To Me Baby" blend chilled out grooves with a late-night soulful feel and some classic, understated piano house keys.

When it comes to electronic music, Bristol's history stands taller than most. Think back to the reggae/hip-hop soundsystems sound of Smith & Mighty and Full Cycle’s drum & bass legacy, right through to today’s bass/ house innovation from Julio Bashmore, Eats Everything et al. Born and bred in the city, Jody Wisternoff's 25-year musical journey has had connections to just about every aspect in one way or another and every last influence – both classic and contemporary - seeps into his refreshing debut artist album “Trails We Blaze”.

But while so many veterans lose their lust for musical discoveries, Wisternoff remains more inspired by new sounds than ever before. As anyone that listens to his monthly Intensified podcasts will know, the Bristolian's finger remains firmly on the pulse of all that is classy and cutting-edge in electronic music – be it the classic Detroit techno of Carl Craig, the warm electronic grooves of Maceo Plex or the leftfield house shapes of Midland.

Back in 1986, a precocious Wisternoff’s started his journey by gatecreashing the finals of the DMC Hip Hop Championships at just 13 years old; later releasing a hip- hop track on Smith & Mighty's Three Stripe Records label, gigging with the Jungle Brothers and getting interviewed by Tim Westwood. Three years later, he was controlling the 5,000-strong crowd as a DJ at the famous 90s rave Universe, before helping to pioneer the early UK rave sound as part of West Country breakbeat outfit Sub Love (with Full Cycle’s DJ Die, later a member of Roni Size’s Reprazent crew).

By 1993, Wisternoff had hooked up with fellow Bristolian and superstar DJ Nick Warren to form Way Out West. In the years that followed, the duo pioneered a cinematic progressive breaks sound – scoring a top 15 hit with “The Gift” in 1996. They have since notched up four top 40 hits and headlined Glastonbury’s dance arena. As remixers, the sought-after pair have touched up classics from Orbital, Inner City and Sasha. 

Blending elements of house, nu disco, progressive, techno and bass, the upbeat “Trails We Blaze” condenses Jody’s personal journey through music into 12 diverse electronic grooves; referencing his classic and contemporary musical loves. 

Representing Jody’s modern take on Balearic grooves, tracks like the “How You Make Me Smile” (feat. Pete Josef) and the nu-disco influenced “Just One More” are both soulful and sophisticated; perfect for balmy summer nights. 

The album isn't without its darker shades, though. Harking back to his years lost in Bristol bass bins, the hypnotic techno groover “95” and the hip-hop indebted “Red Stripes” both reference Jody's love of vintage jungle, while reworks of the Pete Tong-endorsed “Starstrings’ and the Beatport number 1 “Cold Drink, Hot Girl” update two of his most classic solo tracks. 

A journey that lives up to its title, “Trails We Blaze” is as clean as a mid summer sky, but still captures the complex beauty and deep textures of little fluffy clouds.

Founded in 2009, The Peacemaker Project is a network of global producers spanning New York, Ibiza and Frankfurt - together pushing a soulful, musical and melodic take on modern house music.

Catching the Anjunadeep A&R ear instantly, "Ich Lass´ Dich Nicht Zurück" is arguably their most accomplished outing yet with layers of emotion and a uniquely musical backing. 

Blending a classic deep house feel with layers of live instrumentation, rich musicality and Glashaus vocalist Peppa Singt's effortless bittersweet vocals, the finished result is a hypnotic, immersive listen that seems to get better with each return visit. 

A melancholic interpretation of a song co-written between The Peacemaker Project and German hip-hop sensation Moses Pelham, the "Ich Lass´ Dich Nicht Zurück" instrumentation also forms the backing of Moses Pelham's cult hit of the same name.

Keep an ear out for a remixes package featuring a deep, bass driven rework from the increasingly prolific Beckwith.

Erkka, one half of Anjunadeep duo Komytea, launches his solo project on the label with an infectious two track EP, including "Air Conditioner" and the much anticipated "Excommunication". The EP is the first in an exciting new project that will see the Finnish producer explore a wide spectrum of electronic sounds. 

Bringing together robotic funk, nu disco grooves and melodic 80s-influenced textures, "Excommunication" is an emphatic opener. With a deep, brooding but uplifting bassline, hypnotic vocodered vocals and an infectious melody, Erkka's "Excommunication" is a slow burning dancefloor bomb that should appeal to a range of DJs.

"Air Conditioner" is an equally deep, melodic concoction, complete with crisp, skipping percussion and another beautiful flowing melody. Further showcasing Erkka's effortless flair for combining potent late night grooves with classy melody, "Air Conditioner" rounds off a brilliant debut for this project.
