Already showcased on Above & Beyond’s recent BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, Matt Lange’s subtle, beautifully emotive “Bad Year Blimp” is everything that melodic progressive should be. 
Subtle, intricate, layered with emotion and underpinned by a solid hypnotic groove, “Bad Year Blimp” builds and builds towards its cinematic, guitar-strung breakdown – never lingering or staying static too long. 

Adding a slightly alternative flavour to the package, Matt Lange’s “Revolver” is a more taut and menacing affair. Caught somewhere between minimal techno, deep house and progressive, “Revolver” is again stamped with Lange’s trademark attention to detail and intricate sound design.

Featuring on Above &amp; Beyond's recent "Anjunabeats Volume 9", Jaytech's "Overdrive" is the latest effort from the prolific Australian and takes a more hypnotic route than normally associated with his sound. 

A glistening, groove-laden progressive builder that layers waves of melodic textures, "Overdrive" eventually arrives at a dramatic breakdown climax - teasing out the anticipation before a laser-lit drop. Already a firm favourite in the earlier half of Above &amp; Beyond's DJ sets, "Overdrive" is another sign of Jaytech's current creativity. 

Russian star PROFF adds one of his instantly recognisable, hip-wiggling 80s-indebted basslines to his bright, bubbly remix. Whilst retaining the original's melodic spirit, PROFF's remix captures a totally contrasting vibe - full of upbeat melodies and energetic groove. 

Completing a smart three-track EP, upcoming producer Giran takes Jaytech's recent piano house anthem "New Vibe" and gives it a classic progressive twist.

Having previously enjoyed releases on Nick Warren's Hope and Morrison Recordings, the highly regarded French producer Seb Dhajje steps up for his debut Anjunadeep release with the deep tranced-out techno of "Leeknath" and the progressive gem "Calista Nantes".

Tripped-out, detailed and hypnotic, "Leeknath" is a beautiful eight-minute epic that blends deep techno grooves with subtle, melodic texture. Full of intricate soundscapes and subtle shifts, "Leeknath" is a track that demands and rewards repeat listens.

A more obviously melodic but equally deep affair, "Calista Nantes" harks back to the glory days of progressive trance albeit channelled through Dhajje's classy, modern production sound.

A journey through lush electronic grooves, sunny progressive vibes and classy peak-time anthems, Jaytech's second album "Multiverse" is the sound of an artist broadening his scope and moving on to the mainstage. The follow-up to 2008's progressive classic, and the first album to be released on Anjunadeep "Everything Is OK" ("a crossover gem ****" DJ Mag), "Multiverse" takes his sound into the main room; retaining all the melodic flair and refined production that his prolific career has been built on.

Both classy and club focused, "Multiverse" represented a natural juncture for Jaytech to elevate from Anjunadeep to the more main-room energies of Anjunabeats; a label responsible for hits like Above & Beyond's "Sun & Moon", Arty's "Around The World" and Mat Zo's "Bipolar".   Introducing tracks like the bleepy groove bomb "Epsilon" and the classy peak-time vocal anthem "Stranger" (featuring regular Dirty Vegas collaborator Steve Smith), "Multiverse" sees Jaytech explore with higher tempos than before; never losing the attention to detail and musicality he is loved for. 

Moments like the sun-soaked opener "Everglade" and the dramatic, piano breakdown of the album's title track "Multiverse" offer impeccable updates of Jaytech's classic sound, while an updated rework of last year's piano house anthem "New Vibe" brings a new groove to the tune. Rounding out the album are tracks like light-and-dark musical breakbeat growler "Blue Ocean" and Vitalic-esque "Diode" offering a journey into Jaytech's own musical space.

"The 'Distractions EP' is my first concept work: a piece of music divided into four movements intended to be listened to continuously, clocking in at a half an hour worth of music. The EP is an introduction to a different side of my writing style, giving the listener an insight to my interest in long-form composition.

"My influences on this piece range from IDM to film music, which give me a wide pallet of sounds and moods to chose from. While the tempo of the piece is 126 BPM, it has the feel of a melodic techno record with the soul of a late 90's progressive trance track.

"The mood of the piece ranges from the foreboding and anticipating first movement, to the glitch-ridden, hopeful-sounding fourth movement. I used a fair amount of alternative digital signal processing and synthesis techniques, including C Sound and granular synthesis to give the piece's sound design a unique character and timbre. Thanks for the support, and I hope you enjoy the piece."
