LNOE134 sees the return of Spencer Brown on the label after his well received remix for Dubspeeka’s ‘Geb’. This time the 27-year old provides a double-tracker EP that reflects his brand of forward-thinking dance music that defies quick-shifting industry trends.

The sound of the EP shows more of Spencer’s stripped back side, with both tracks hitting the spot. Using minimal elements and effects, the listener get’s draw in for a sweet and mysterious ride on ‘Cumulonimbus Incus’ while saving the monstrous heavy drums for ‘Sea Caverns’, a proper club banger. Spencer comments; “Silver Linings EP was entirely written during lockdown. I’m a big fan of atmospheric, more experimental progressive and techno, and lockdown provided me with the time to experiment in this vein of production. Once I wrote Cumulonimbus Incus (named after the soaring feeling of my favourite cloud) and Sea Caverns (named after the sonar pulse and deep sea bass), I sent the music to Sasha, one of my biggest inspirations. I’m absolutely honoured that he loved the music, and Last Night on Earth was the perfect fit for these sounds. While these were written in a dark place during lockdown, getting signed by one of my heroes turned out to be a silver lining of endless COVID studio time.”

We’re over the moon to have Spencer on the label and get these hard-hitters out in the world. 16th of July will see Spencer Brown’s EP debut on LNOE - available across all digital platforms.

A showcase of fresh talent from the global electronic scene, Anjunadeep’s Explorations series returns for its twentieth instalment, this time curated by Above & Beyond's Tony McGuinness.
 
Kicking off the compilation isTurkish-born DJ and producer Evren Furtuna with his track ‘Cupid’. Having previously released on Kora’s imprint Saisons and Kiksuya records, Evren’s latest displays his emotive production style with flourishing chords throughout.
 
Argentinian pair Ramiro Drisdale and Matias Fittipaldi combine their skilled production in ‘Bhairavi’. With support from Nick Warren and Hernan Cattaneo, the pair pack 'Bhairavi' with hypnotic melodies and percussion.
 
Following on from his appearance on Anjunadeep Explorations 14, Russian DJ and producer Maxxim returns to the Explorations series with his track ‘Waterfalls’. Combining intertwined melodies with plucked percussion, Maxxim's latest showcases why he's garnered support from Joris Voorn, Black Coffee and Solomun.
 
Next up, is a fresh rework from Colombian-based DJ and producers Kamilo Sanclemente & Dabeat. Stamping their mark on Fingerprint’s (an alias of Tony McGuinness) ‘Rye & Eggs’, the pair combine deep grooves with soft piano melodies.
 
Colombian producer Giovannny Aparicio returns to the Explorations series with ‘You Near Me’ featuring vocals from Velveta. Following releases on Plattenblank, Proton Music and Songspire records, Aparicio's latest demonstrates why he's been supported by the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Roy Rosenfeld and Marsh.
 
Next is a showcase of Indian talent in the form of DJ and producer Weird Sounding Dude with ‘Hyper Dream’. Following previous releases on The Soundgarden and Sudbeat, Weird Sounding Dude continues to showcase complex production with symphonic and uplifting melodies.
 
Rounding off the compilation is DJ and producer JFR with ‘Sada’. JFR draws on his South American heritage, combining Latin American style vocals with jovial percussion.

Multiple Grammy-award winning writer, composer, producer, and performer William Orbit is considered a pioneer of electronic music and one of contemporary pop’s most innovative artists. He now returns with a 4-track EP ‘Starbeam’ set for release December 1st via Anjunadeep, with the single of the same name out today, November 19th. 
 
In a career spanning 40 years, his influence is insurmountable. Producing some of pop music’s most seminal records - Madonna’s ‘Ray Of Light’ and ‘MDNA’, Blur’s ‘13’, Robbie Williams’ ‘Rudebox’, Finley Quaye’s ‘Dice’, Pink’s ‘Feel Good Time’ and All Saints’ ‘Testament’ to name a few - he has won 3 Grammy Awards and been nominated a further 5 times, with work on albums by U2, Britney Spears, Beth Orton, Queen, and Michael Jackson. Immersed in classical, pop, and electronic worlds, his contributions to contemporary music illustrate a great cadence of alchemic studio fusions and what he calls ‘curating serendipity’. Returning with the 4-track EP ‘Starbeam’, William’s first solo release in seven years, this marks his Anjunadeep debut. 
 
His first solo release in seven years, ’Starbeam’ is the latest triumph in a career that’s birthed 11 solo studio albums and 7 ensemble albums as a member of Bassomatic, Strange Cargo, and Torch Song, and the influential Guerrilla Records label. Demonstrating his soulful ear for authenticity and creativity, ’Starbeam’ is an all-enveloping musical journey that sends the listener hurtling through the stratosphere. Mastered in Dolby Atmos 360 audio, ’Starbeam’ conveys William's unquenched fascination into the minute details and continued refusal to stop experimenting. 
 
As impressive as it is, William’s production work is only one aspect of a life spent entrenched in the forefront of the electronic landscape, pushing the music and culture further and further beyond its perceived dancefloor boundaries. As one of the most influential forefathers of the essential post-rave and back-to-mine soundtrack, his ambient, downbeat ‘Strange Cargo’ album series was intrinsically rooted and referenced in the 90s ambient, chill-out, and Balearic movements. Similarly, William’s 1995 seminal album ‘Pieces In A Modern Style’ conveyed a never-before-seen fusion of classical and electronic, where classical arrangements were transposed in the most modern and futuristic way, laying the foundations that composers such as Nils Frahm and Jon Hopkins build on today. His work in this field remains matchless, yet was created with no formal training in musical theory whatsoever. With a combination of his soulful ear for authenticity, scientific eye for schematics, an innovative ability to join consistent dots between disparate worlds in a transient universe, and a spirit for breaking rules; William Orbit is a maverick conductor, engineer, and artist with an unquenched fascination into both the micro and macro details of anything he’s creating.

French producer Jats makes his Purified Records debut with his 3-track ‘Rituals of Dreams’ EP. Showcasing his powerful sound, this EP demands attention from the very first beat, exploring captivating soundscapes from the title track into ‘The Perfect Sky’, and ‘Lost Planet’.

The ‘Rituals of Dreams’ artwork features a stunning photograph of a zebra shark, captured by Daniel Nicholson. The zebra shark is a distinct shark species that inhabits shallow coral reef areas in tropical waters. Their unique adaptations include barbels for locating prey, a flexible body for navigating tight spaces and the ability to suck up prey with their small mouths and strong gill muscles. As they mature, they undergo a change in appearance, transforming from dark brownish with yellowish stripes as juveniles, to small black dots on a tan body. Zebra sharks are nocturnal foragers, hunting on small prey like fish, snails, sea urchins, crabs and invertebrates in crevices. They can grow to almost 12 feet in length and have few natural predators. Their main threat is human activities such as fishing for their meat, liver and fins. They are listed as endangered according to the IUCN.

Located on the Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia, Daniel Nicholson is one of the globe’s most prominent professional underwater photographers. He seeks to share the beauty and magic of the underwater world to inspire conservation and change.
