A steam train of a track it slowly gathers pace as it moves forward. It's chugging groove and fat bassline have been whipping crowds into frenzies when played by the pair and now its ready to be unleashed for all.
Backing it up is 'Hinduma'. A track that's known to cause the mouth to contort when mouthing out the wonky synth line. Resistance is futile.
Closing out the EP is 'Reply To Sender’, a slow burner with a trippy ethnic melody and a drop that goes all mystical.

It was nearly a year ago when these two graced with their hugely successful track ‘Hope’ on our ‘Watergate XV’ various artist compilation. Matthias Meyer and Ryan Davis come together again to deliver the stunning ‘Love Letters From Sicily’ where infectious organic grooves pave the way for a flourishing well of emotions in the form of lush pads and shimmering sonics that unfold into a tale of epic cinematic proportions. From start to finish it’s a intimate piece of aural imagery, yet the duo always keep a keen percussive focus making it ideal for any dancefloor moment. 

To complement ‘Love Letters from Sicily’, we’ve enlisted the one and only John Digweed to rework Meyer and Davis’ original of ‘Hope’, and with no surprise, he’s given it the master’s touch. Staying true to the original, while at the same time reinventing the storyline and constructing tension by saving the powerful harmonies for a later climax, he’s crafted a revision that’s both driving and timeless.

We're proud and elated to bring to you Part 1 of Pineapple Digital's Special 5th Year Anniversary compilation. 
It's been an intense journey for Pineapple Digital, and we want to thank all of you for being a part of the 
experience. 

Our very own label director, Dave Pineda is back and brings to us a fantastical selection of gorgeous tunes 
curated in Toronto, and he made the continuous dj mix as an exclusive bonus to the release upon purchasing the 
complete compilation.

This anniversary release contains many new debuts! With it, we welcome Sunset Moments, Allete & mis.kita, and 
Nanaon to the Pineapple family. We're happy to have them in our house, as they bring with them some blissful tunes.

The stage is set up with Tokyo Trend Factory's "Alone" as an awesome opener in Dave's mix, and grows into some 
deep hair raising tracks from Dark Matter, and Tyler Schauman. Things start to pick up with the euphoric trumpeting 
of Desaicrator's "The Reclaimer".

Sunset Moments arpeggiated starlight complete with a suave progressive bounce, Allete & mis.kita bring up the heat 
even more, with their smooth and sexy world premiere 5 years in the waiting. No release would be complete without 
some unique sounds typical of our very own Pineapple Digital lane.

With Redub, Kelotti, and Arsevty. "Indonesia" transports us to another wild destination, with "Suomi" and 
"Walk Around" bringing even more incredible diversity to this epic compilation that's sure to slap on a smile. 
Lastly, Nanaon graces us with "Before Dawn", a closing track complimentary to such a delightful opener. 
This one rounds us back off, letting us back down easy, ensuring the aural journey be one of stable and repeated listening.

microCastle's second offering of 2019 welcomes Speaking In Tongues to the label for their debut EP. Conceptualized by long time friends Miguel Angel and Philip Anthony, Speaking In Tongues was a project born out of love for cutting edge electronic music. Originally meeting almost 20 years ago, after Miguel's move from Colombia to Philip's hometown of Los Angeles, the two spent a great deal of time together in various capacities, many of these aligned through a joint musical appreciation. Speaking In Tongues is meant to capture and embrace that cohesive fusion and spread it across the airwaves. The duo's creative vision has seen them land releases on TAU, Atlant Recordings and My Favorite Robot, while their recent remix of Kauf's 'Let It Slide' was aired by Ko?lsch on BBC Radio One. Now presenting their first EP project of 2019, Speaking In Tongues make their microCastle debut with 'Sabbath', alongside remixes from Mathias Schober and Zombies In Miami.

The 'Sabbath' collection is a transcendent blend of desert, eastern and indie-dance motifs, further reinforcing the duo's nomadic style. Beginning with the deep, cross cultural themes of the title track, the EP then shifts energy to the modular intensity and oriental motifs of 'Mood Swing', before eventually melting down into the pulsating, indie-esque psychedelia that is 'Eraser'. An expansive collection from the Los Angeles duo, one which draws on a variety of inspirations and thus resonates on multiple levels, as they describe.

Sabbath, we think, will remain a special tune for us. The sort of progressiveness that it lends is a style we flourish in, although not a "genre" we often flex-and perhaps that constitutes its uniqueness. For us, the track immediately conjures images of the Southern California desert and the hypnotic nights we have spent under the stars there, ultimately turning into beautifully strange mornings. Joshua Tree in particular is a special area we make a bi-annual pilgrimage to, and the spirit of that place often leaves its fingerprints on our music-Sabbath being no exception.
