The original “Sad Robot” collaboration between Nick Warren and Guy Mantzur was heaped with acclaim when it first appeared on John Digweed’s Bedrock label a year ago. This sparkling gem of a track pushed all the right buttons with a euphoric attitude that only comes from years of experience of rocking the best dancefloors around the world week in week out, and now the label is set to take the story to the next level with 3 diverse, exciting new remixes.

The enigmatic Rich Lane from Newcastle Under Lyme (who also records under aliases such as Original Disco Thing and Chug Norris) has been gaining plaudits for his musical creations that loosely fall into the realms of what are variously tagged “Slo-Mo”, “Chug”, “Nu-Disco” and even “NEW New Beat”.  By channelling the sounds and feel of classic House, Techno, New Beat etc. and mellowing the groove towards a slower mid-tempo ride, whilst adding a sprinkling Post Punk, Funk and Synth Pop, Rich Lane is a masterful producer who draws together so many disparate elements that seem to unite a particular type of music lover. Here, through his love of classic analogue sounds, he has created a truly original take on “Sad Robot”.

Hailing from the current hotbed of exciting musical evolution, Argentina’s Alejo Gonzalez (renowned for his show on Radio 90.3FM Delta) has joined forces with fellow DJ and producer Max Blade to create a beautifully melancholic interpretation of “Sad Robot”, a perfect, understated finale for this remix package. For its second release of 2018, microcastle welcomes the mysterious Cornucopia project back to the label for a new EP. The publicity shy artist first appeared in May of 2016 when 'The Day You Got Older And Stronger' was released courtesy of Gorje Hewek & Izhevski's Shanti Moscow Radio. Shortly thereafter came his microcastle debut with 'Pursuit of the Orange Butterfly'. A lo-fi, organic and deeply musical creation that the underground fell in love with. 

2017 was met with just one release, 'Letter For Poly' which launched Lee Burridge's new Tale & Tone imprint. Sitting at #1 in Beatport's overall Top 100 the track was also aired on BBC Radio 1 by Kolsch and by year's end was considered one of 2017's best deep house tracks. Now returning to the comfortable home of microcastle, Cornucopia presents his much anticipated 'Forever Gone' artist showcase.

Spread across three tracks, ‘Forever Gone’ is a transcendent blend of music and nature, an organic methodology which Cornucopia seems so apt at crafting. Beginning with the evolving textures, exotic drums and tonal creativities of the title cut, the EP then shifts energy to the modular intensity and oriental themes of ‘Big Sky’, before ultimately melting down to the tranquil, meditative yet spiritually uplifting expedition that is ‘Epathia’. 

For those who believe that music can affect people on a deeper, universal, emotional level, this is music to treasure. This is music to hold close to your heart.

2019 was a massive musical year for Khen. He unleashed multiple projects that will be hammered on dance floors around the globe for the foreseeable future. With previous releases on Life & Death, Get Weird and ELEMENTS, Ashworth has gained support from all corners of the electronic music scene including Lee Burridge, DJ Tennis and Patrice Bäumel.

 Title-track ‘Kira’ opens the EP, showcasing Ashworth’s ambient sound design with cascading melodies and warming pads. ‘Rasputin’ features a resonating bassline whilst ‘Sinopia’ leads with a cheerful syncopated melody.
