French-Canadian producer and live act Christophe Dubé, aka CRi, is a dance music star in the making. 2020 saw the release of his acclaimed debut LP ‘Juvenile’, which won resounding praise from Clash, NME and DJ Mag, and has racked up over seven million streams to date. Following A-list remixes from Gerd Janson, DJ BORING, Jean-Michel Blais and Icarus, CRi now shares the complete ‘Juvenile (Remixed)’ LP, with fresh offerings from Studio Barnhus label boss Kornél Kovács, Chinese composer and DJ, Yu Su, US producer Byron The Aquarius, newcomer Kotastu and a new rework from CRi himself.

With remixes for Pet Shop Boys, George Fitzgerald and HONNE in his repertoire, legendary Swedish producer Kornél Kovács makes his debut appearance on the label, working his magic on standout LP single ‘Runaway’. With highly-regarded originals on Ninja Tune's Technicolour and a critically-acclaimed debut LP 'Yellow River Blue' under her belt, Kaifeng-born, Vancouver-based producer Yu Su joins the label. Her leftfield, dream-like rework of 'Love Spirit' feat. Sophia Bel comes after a career-affirming few years, and plaudits from Pitchfork and Resident Advisor.

Alabama-based deep house aficionado Byron The Aquarius follows on from remixes for electronic favourites Session Victim and Folamour, providing our second new take on ‘Runaway’. Completing the package, CRi shares his own club revision of LP hit ‘From Me’ feat. Bernache, before rounding off with exciting newcomer, British producer Kotatsu, who offers up an emotionally-charged remix of fan favourite ‘Never Really Get There’ feat. Jesse Mac Cormack.

Following on from his latest single ‘Just A Dream’ (feat. Delta Underground), San Francisco’s Luttrell a.k.a Eric Luttrell now shares the full five track EP package, ‘Music For My Memories Pt. 1’, the first of a trilogy of works to be shared throughout 2021. 

An Anjunadeep fan favourite, Luttrell has provided some of the label’s most memorable moments since launching his project back in 2016, including ‘Intergalactic Plastic', ‘Contact’ and ‘Need You’, which all won resounding support from BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac, Danny Howard and Pete Tong. The past three years have seen Eric release two acclaimed LPs, his debut ‘Into Clouds’ and follow up ‘Lucky Ones’, along with a wave of well-received singles and remixes for the likes of Moby, Jai Wolf, Catching Flies and Above & Beyond; helping amass over 55 million streams throughout his career to date.

Opening with cinematic deep cut ‘Ex Nihilo’, Eric shares two more new originals in ‘Snoop Dawk’ and project title track ‘Music For My Memories’, with downtempo ‘Reflections Vol. 2’ highlight ‘October Song’ and recent single ‘Just A Dream’ completing the package.

'A welcome returnee to Proton Music, Matter has a host of powerful original and remix material to his name, both under solo and collaborative guises, making him a firm favourite with the label faithful. Through his "Pronoia" and "We Are Dust" EPs, the Australian shone a light on his creative talent in 2016 and 2017, while collaborations with fellow Melbourne resident, GMJ, have seen the duo light up the label with a trio of original EPs. Remixes of Dousk, Embliss and Michael A have shone a different light on Matter's talent as he now returns with a typically impressive sound, characterised by a whip-cracking kick and rolling groove. A trademark bassline full of power and emotion muscles its way across the low end as subtle melodic touches hint at elements from Molosh's original. A glorious progression, layered with textured pads, form the perfect foundation for the piano so redolent in the original to take its rightful place at the centre, as arpeggios from the Matter arsenal wax and wane across the top. Building to a rousing crescendo at the mid-point the sequence hits its stride again in the third movement to incredible effect.'

Dutch producer Nordfold returns to Anjunadeep with the release of his new double-cut ‘Letter To Lillehammer / First’. The latest in a series of EPs on Anjunadeep, this new offering demonstrates Nordfold’s flair for intricate sound design - a flair that most recently saw his track ‘Down Memory Lane’ supported by the likes of Nick Warren, Eelke Kleijn and BBC Radio 1’s Phil Taggart.

A standout moment from James Grant & Jody Wisternoff’s set for Anjunadeep’s Open Air Prague event, the title track first made an appearance on the duo’s ‘Anjunadeep 12’ compilation earlier this year. ‘Letter to Lillehammer’ leads with soft piano melodies whilst B-side ‘First’ features a warm vocal loop and intricate percussive rhythms.

Nordfold - Letter To Lillehammer

Following the runaway success of his label debut 'Mvinline', Boys Noize returned to Defected for the anticipated follow-up single 'All I Want' this spring, featuring the unmistakable vocals of Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears. Starting its life as a basic demo made by the pair years ago for Alex (aka Boys Noize) to play at one of Jake's infamous NYC apartment parties, the track had since remained a hidden gem on a broken hard drive until years later when Alex rediscovered the track. Taking inspiration from classic Chicago house for the original 'All I Want', now Life and Death founder DJ Tennis steps up to remix, adding depth to the original with is hazy, atmospheric mix. This package also includes Boys Noize's NRG Remix, which includes the verse of the original demo.

Eliza Noble and Jennifer Skillman are Eli & Fur: the British live act, singer-songwriter and producer duo whose career together stretches back for nearly a decade. Having formed a close bond in their teens born out of their unwavering passion for music in all its guises, their careers as DJs, songwriters, vocalists and producers has taken them  around the globe as touring musicians and seen them grace the stages of the biggest festivals in the world including Coachella, Tomorrowland and Glastonbury. 

‘Found In The Wild’ is the pair’s long-awaited studio debut which will be released this summer on seminal electronic imprint and long-time label home Anjunadeep on 25th June. Following BBC Radio 1’s Chillest Record and first LP single ‘Wild Skies’, Eli & Fur now share their second album single, lifted from the ‘In The Wild’ side of the LP, peak time club cut ‘Come Back Around’. 

A dual part album concept, ‘Found in The Wild’ is a sonic presentation of two contrasting and quintessential parts of the unique Eli & Fur sound; two sides of the Eli & Fur which they are finally ready to share with the world, “We wanted to show both sides of us. We are quite varied in the way that we write music and so it made sense to have two parts living side by side. Everything we really love is on the album and we’re super proud of how it’s come together”. 

The first half of the album ‘Found’ is a collection of song-based productions which show Eli & Fur’s strengths as songwriters, vocalists and producers in equal measure. Having begun their careers as songwriters at renowned production house Xenomania writing hits for pop acts like Girls Aloud, Eli & Fur’s talents as songwriters are abundantly clear. 

The second half of the LP ‘In the Wild’ is a change in gear conceptually and ventures into the more upbeat, clubbier side of the project - these tracks explore the girls’ penchant for emotive productions geared for the dancefloor which find the sweet spot between the dark and the emotive, marrying evocative vocals written around their own experiences as young musicians with their unique brand of euphoric club cuts. Presented side by side as ‘Found In The Wild’, the first album from Eli & Fur shows the artists at their most assured.

Following the release of his double-cut ‘Venus / Trondheim’, which saw support from the likes of Eelke Kleijn, Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, Dutch producer Nordfold returns to Anjunadeep with his four-track ‘Down Memory Lane EP’.
 
Opening the EP is title-track ‘Down Memory Lane’, leading with soft piano melodies and vocal stabs. ‘Rituals’ features breakbeat drums whilst ‘Andes’ is filled with intricate percussive rhythms. Closing the EP is ‘Pause Sunset’, showcasing Nordfold's characteristic sound design, which has previously been championed by Phil Taggart on BBC Radio 1.

German duo Lars Rühlemann and Sven Fröhlich, aka Monkey Safari, return to Anjunadeep with their three track EP ‘Beach’. Following their debut Anjunadeep release ‘Gravity / Daka’, which saw support from Joris Voorn, Hernan Cattaneo, Kölsch and Phil Taggart at BBC Radio 1, the duo’s latest reaffirms their impressive reputation.

Title track ‘Beach’ opens the EP, leading with breakbeat drums and evolving chords. ‘Free’ features a catchy vocal hook whilst ‘Can’t Sleep’ favours ambient synths and an emotive melody. The duo’s unique take on deep, melodic house has seen them release on Spectrum, Get Physical, RCA records and their own imprint Hommage.

Japanese artist Yunosuke Senoo, aka Lycoriscoris, returns to Anjunadeep with the announcement of his upcoming album 'Chiyu', out March 26. 

In recent years, Senoo has built a cult following as part of a new wave of Japanese producers. His signature blend of organic melodies with intricate sound design have won him support from the likes of DJ Koze, Michael Mayer, &ME and BBC Radio 1’s Phil Taggart. A multi-instrumentalist, Senoo has played live alongside the likes of The Field and Moritz Von Oswald at Tokyo’s legendary Dommune. 

Composed throughout 2020, 'Chiyu' documents Senoo’s journey of reflection and recovery.  

“Memories and retrospection are the fundamental concept that inspire my music. For instance, my own artist name plays on the name of the Lycoris flower. In Japan, it's often found near cemeteries, which is of course a dark connotation - however one day when searching in the Language of Flowers (Floriography) I discovered that the word Lycoris also means “I’m looking forward to seeing you again”. 

I realised how this dark flower also hides a beautiful and positive message. I think my music, and my new album ‘Chiyu’, has the same kind of dualism as the Lycoris flower.”

With influences ranging from Boards of Canada and Christian Löffler, Senoo showcases his delicate production style over the 9 tracks of ‘Chiyu’. From the intertwining melodies in ‘Shizumu’ to the polyrhythmic textures of ‘Utsurou', Seeno combines dreamy soundscapes with modern electronica. A skilled photographer, Senoo also provides the imagery for the album artwork shot in his native, Japan.

Senoo’s new album follows the release of his acclaimed LP ‘Flight’, released on Anjunadeep in 2018. Positioning in the top 5 Electronic albums on iTunes, 'Flight' gained support on tastemaker stations including BBC Radio 1, KEXP and NTS Radio as well as international press support.

‘Chiyu’ is available March 26 on Anjunadeep.
