The Anjunadeep Edition 01 with James Grant

Eva Young is rapidly establishing herself as a compelling musical talent – wisely immersing herself in the heart of Europe’s Electronic Dance Music scene, Amsterdam. 

Having forged a love of progressive house, tech-house and deep-house music a long time ago, Eva embraced the challenge of becoming a DJ head-on, readily identifiable as one of the few female Asian DJ’s on the house-scene.

Her potential was quickly spotted by Steel Artist Management and they wasted little time in bringing her to the heart of the action. Racking up gigs in clubs like Jimmy Woo, Air and Suzy Wong, Eva’s musical journey is being shared by the masses.

She featured in Steel Artist Management’s 2013 ADE campaign – photographed by the renowned Rahi Rezvani, and promoted through the whole of Amsterdam further boosting her profile.

Her DJ sets capture her very soul, as she plays from the heart and always with an uplifting and ultimately energetic vibe to her artistry. With an outstanding feel for rhythm, honed courtesy of a musical background playing piano and guitar, Miss Young already knows how to get a crowd going and she’s set to channel her talent onto ever larger stages.

This class reminds us that we are never alone, and that no matter where we are, we are on the path, and right at home.

Dear listener,
finally this year, I managed to see the man burn!
In the weeks and months before Burning Man a lot of my friends kept on telling me how amazing it was and most of them would conclude their eulogy with something like: „Burning Man changed my life“.
Well, I can not certainly say that Burning Man changed my life, but what I know for sure is that my life changed afterwards ;-)
Very glad that I made it to this far away place and I hope to return next year.
I want to thank Lio and everybody at our nice camp and of course the robots who invited me to let their hearts beat according to my pace. It has been truly amazing. 
The only thing I really had to struggle with, that Sunday morning on the Playa, was the sunlight that made it almost impossible to spot anything on the display, so please please please you geeks out there, come up with something that can work in sunlight, because we all love the sun!

"I had a musically transformational experience in front of the robot heart bus years ago.  At that moment, I made a promise to myself that the next time I stepped foot on the bus, it would be to play.  Fast forward 5 years later…it’s 2am Monday night, about 30 min before my set, and I’m sitting in the deep playa with a close friend watching the bus make it’s way towards us from the city.  It was a moment that I will never forget.  This was what all the hard work was for.

To me, this mix represents a small microcosm of one of the things I learn over and over again every time I go to Burning Man; with patience, persistence, resilience, and positive intention, you can achieve anything.

Infinite gratitude to everyone who's supported me along this journey.  Although this, is just another beginning."
