The winter's almost gone and Luettje Luise's Mama comes out of hibernation. With a new playground at home, it will take a talented hand to prepare for the upcoming spring. Along comes @Nutia, sowing his seeds of ‘Raounuor’.

‘Fischbahn’ (A1) is a decent wake up call for the early birds facing their way back north to the deep woods of ‘Schweden’ (A2). Here, Nutia serenades those old inhabitants with a rattling melody, and sends them on their way with heads still light. ‘Em Pessoa’ (B1) tinkles on the flipside: a lullaby of constant perpetuation, which echoes its way through the mesmerising labyrinth of trees and bushes, only to be heard by the lonesome @Deer (B2), who answers with the most gentle mating call these woods have ever heard.

‘From Outside’ (Digital) the vinyl some unknown voices fly in. One might call them electronic - whatever that could be.

After dropping several tracks and performing at select festivals throughout the years, Ólafur Arnalds and Janus Rasmussen dedicated the year 2014 to explore the area in-between Ólafur’s more acoustic, piano-based solo work and Janus’s synth-heavy electro pop, with their collaborative electronic project Kiasmos.

By focusing solely on their self-titled debut album, Ólafur and Janus have been able to combine and further develop their unique sound aesthetics to complete an album driven by their mutual love for electronic music. Made in Ólafur’s newly build studio in Reykjavík, Iceland, a majority of the album was recorded using acoustic instruments next to a variety of synthesisers, drum machines and tape delays. It features a live drummer, string quartet and Ólafur performing on the grand piano, producing an ambient, textured sound, which makes it a perfect home listen and equally danceable record. If you listen closely, you can spot them record the thumb piano, finger snapping and even the sound of the metal grinder of a lighter slowly to replace the usual electronic hi-hat sounds, giving the album a far more intimate and unique atmosphere.

“We decided to start almost completely over with this record, so most of the material is written this year with the idea of making a record that can stand as one piece rather than a collection of songs. I am very excited to get a proper record out exploring a different territory than I am used to. I touch a lot on electronic genres in my own music but never have the opportunity to go full out electronic like we do here.” – Ólafur Arnalds

“The Kiasmos project has been around since 2009, but because of all our other projects we never really got the time to sit down and write all the tracks we always wanted to. So when we early this year finally found the time to sit down and make a full length album there was so much we wanted to try out. The result surprised us a bit, it's deeper and more emotional than we imagined it to be, but that's the beauty of being able to make an album.” – Janus Rasmussen

Musically endowed, soulful, impeccably produced and, quite clearly, a native of South London, Celsius now premiere's his MadTech track 'Depletion', just in time for the summertime season. Stavroz managed to create a wholesome, comforting soundtrack for a place, which no words can describe. Take a rest, lay down, close your eyes and listen to a story told in an orchestral fashion, with such profession and ear for details like Luise never heard before. .Rumor has it, at the top of the Stairway To Heaven; there's an all you can eat taco & guacamole bar. 

.The lady who wanted to buy the Stairway originally couldn't afford it...so she checked her credit score on credit karma, applied for a short term loan, & is currently working on a finance plan to finally purchase the stairway!

.During every concert & studio session, Roger Plant would put his wiener in a customized tightening vice....this vice would pinch his pecker, enabling him to reach those infamous high notes.

**Thanksgiving has gone, and the holidays are around the corner... soo with the spirit in mind, i think its time for another giveaway!  This has been a big track in my sets recently...& as much as i hate tampering with a classic, I couldnt help myself on this one...I get giddy hearing rock & roll in a night club lol. Happy new year, my friends.
Given the nature of my gigs and timeslots over the last few months, I've been buying and playing a lot of "club music" which has been reflected in the sets I've been releasing. I love playing dance floor tunes, but I'm still collecting music I love that's fit for at-home listening, opening slots, and afterhours...most of which has been sitting untouched in my music collection these last few months.

So it's been nice taking the time to do this studio mix that dusts off the tunes that haven't been getting any love. The glitchy, ambient, lofi-housey, and minimal stripped grooves. Some things that are slightly different than what I've been playing, slightly different than what you've been hearing. Hope you dig.

There is a unique presence in the work of Toronto based Duo, Nature of Music. There is a sense of patience that allows their sound to ‘breathe’ in the framework of their sets and their production work. Strings play out, the delays roll off into the distance, and the reverb swells and holds you. They achieve this through utilizing the three principle components in music. The duo fuses rhythm, melody, and harmony into musical works
that combine both live performance and DJing into sophisticated blends. Drum machine rhythm pieces, mesmerizing palettes of melody sprinkled with hints of spoken word and acapella, and rich atmospheric pads and string ensembles create deep harmonies that all play equal rolls in the duo’s theater of sound.

Nature of Music formed in 2009 and has since worked with some of the industry’s most innovative tastemakers. They have been praised by industry heavyweight, Hernan Cattaneo as a “Top production duo to look out for.” This is reflected with their releases for Cattaneo’s influential Sudbeat label. Their talent has brought them to international territories across oceans for both intimate affairs and crowd jamming festivals.

Nature of Music stylistically are unlike any other and after a few plays become instantly ￼recognizable. Their work is aimed to make people move a way that keeps them lost in ￼the present moment. It is a peaceful state of being that is promoted through beautiful melancholic shades of electronic music.

3 QUESTIONS to NICO STOJAN:

Q: You´re currently in Mexico. The best place to escape from the cold winter?

A: I am very thankful that I can travel around the world with my music. Last year was the first time for me here and I really enjoyed it. So wonderful to meet a lot of friends here spending time with them in the sun and celebrating the new year together. It is the perfect place to escape the long gray phase in Berlin.

Q: Talking about your mix – what did these tracks mean to you in the past?

A: It was not easy to decide wich track will finally be part of the mix cause there are so many I was listening to while I grew up. But those I put in the mix are defenitely the ones meaning a lot to me.

Q: What´s coming up next? Are there any tour or release plans?

A: I will have my every year Australia/New Zealand tour in feb/march and the next release on our new label OUÏE is coming end of march. It´s the new Acid Pauli Album.

"I was in Deep 08 hibernation mode for most of the second half of last year so this is my first Deep Edition since the summer. During that time I've been quietly stockpiling tunes and probably feeling a bit frustrated not to have an outlet for them :).
