An ambition like Tom Marshall’s. A fan favourite on the roster of renowned UK label Anjunadeep and one of the breakout stars of the melodic house scene, Marsh has sculpted a distinctly warm, emotional sound since he first emerged in the mid-2010s. Inspired by his teenage love of the emotionally rich, early 2000s trance sound and the musicality of crossover drum & bass acts like Pendulum, he’s distilled these disparate influences into a captivating and soulful signature style.

It was 2009 when Buddha Bar crashed into my life — somewhere between the stalls of Stanley Market 🇭🇰, the dive bars of Sukhumvit Road 🇹🇭, and those hell‑shacks lost in the middle of a desert 🔥 full of mosquitoes 🦟 and heat no human should endure.
That’s where my passion for this sound was born.

For me, Buddha Bar was the lever point ⚖️, the hinge that opened the door to Berlin house 🇩🇪, techno ⚡, and the whole wave of powerful rave cultures that followed.
Deep down, beneath all the layers, there was always the pulse of a stubborn lounge heart 💛, whispering that the Canary Islands sunset 🌅 had been worth it — at least once in a lifetime.

It felt like slipping between the folds of that sunset while the rastas rolled their schilome 🚬, the party rising between mosquitoes 🦟, seagulls 🕊️, trance beats 🔊, and smoke 🌫️.

Tonight, Collettivo Undersound 🌙 offers a nocturnal tribute inspired by Tha Luccio 🐟 —
a track that simply couldn’t wait until tomorrow to be released.

Cityscape Sessions turns to the UK this week for a warming, lush set from an exciting new talent who goes by the name of Marsh. This past June he dropped his first artist album on Silk Music called Life On The Shore. It’s a fresh body of work that effortlessly straddles the line between tech house, deep house, progressive, and even elements of old classic house. It’s a sound that he has carried through into this week’s show, which features music from his album, Dave DK, Weepee, and concludes with a amazing new original production called Ritual.

It was four years ago that we started our little radio show, and over the previous 199 weeks we’ve featured mixes from pretty much our entire Anjunadeep family, hopefully including a few classic episodes along the way. For this week’s milestone show myself and Jody have decided to reconstruct our set from Anjunadeep Open Air: Miami back in March. It’s always one of our favourite parties of the year and a few of you have been asking for the set, so we thought it might be a nice way to celebrate our 200th show. The only tracks that are missing are a couple that we are keeping up our sleeves for Anjunadeep 10 later this year, but we’ve replaced them with some other new goodies.
