Happy to share one of my most requested sets from my archive. This is back from 2018 on the Big Imagination 747 airplane at Burning Man. This was a set the ended up with quite a bit of drama, but overall it was a really special sunrise B2B with my brother-from-another-mother, Mark Slee. Always feels natural and easy playing with him.

'Fejká' is not just a word, but a concept - a melodic blend between soft, dreamy atmospheres and the punchy vibe of techno. Torn between those two worlds like a lone wanderer, he developed his own unique way to find a perfect balance between both. His music offers a very atmospheric and soulful sound, laying somewhere between melancholy and euphoria, resulting in a unique interpretation of emotions which is seldom heard on the dancefloor. Originally from the Black Forest in Germany, he began producing his first tracks at just 17. Influences such as Kiasmos, HVOB, and Christian Löffler, contributed significantly to his development and shaped his atmospheric, and yet punchy style, until he received a personal invite from none other than Christian Löffler himself to join his label, Ki Records.

Midnight Community #100 w/ Fejká - 28.05.22

This month, we explore the concept of anicca, the Buddhist word for impermanence or change. The mix weaves through sounds that are bombastic vs modest, dark vs light, groovy vs trippy, haunting vs heavenly, and so on...My approach to DJing is to keep sounds and feelings in a constant state of flux, never getting stuck in a single place. I believe a well-crafted mix is a metaphor for life: anicca, anicca...constantly changing, changing...

Hard to believe that another year has already passed by. Decided to mix another one of these on account of the fair amount of good music we've been blessed with this year. I've taken a different approach with this one. I'm usually very meticulous when it comes to compiling my mixes (last year's mix took me 8 months to put together) but i've decided to mix this one on the fly with no pre planned tracklist. The tracks that made it into the mix are the ones that always sounded fresh even after several listens. Each and every time I’ve played music at Burning man I felt privileged to do so. Its a truly special place full of truly special people.Sunrise. Sunset. Smiles. Tears of pure joy. 

There, i’m never one. I’m many. Connected. Connected to everything and everyone. One of the threads connecting me is music. Over the years the music has become a time machine that’s marked magical moments on my journey.  To hear it again allows me to travel back in time to those moments.

The Anjunadeep Edition 193 with Kora

I'm happy to share the audio recording pulled from my live video stream at the Mixmag Lab, NYC (my new home!) My track selections for this one were intended toe the line somewhere between a club gig and a headphones listening mix since there were 100 people on the dance floor but 1000's of people listening at home. These Mixmag Labs tend to reach a wide audience of dance music enthusiasts around the world, so I also made a point to try and showcase a little range of what I'm playing these days.
