Tom Szirtes, aka Shur-i-kan, has built a stellar reputation over the years with his albums on the excellent Freerange Records, along with releases on his own Dark Energy records. We’ve long been a fan of his music, and when Tom Middleton introduced him to us and we heard “My Love” for the first time we knew we were on to a winner.

At the darker end of his musical spectrum, “My Love” has all the hallmarks of an Anjunadeep classic; brooding strings, an emotive vocal refrain and one hell of a bassline. A complete dancefloor weapon, tipped by Radio 1’s Danny Howard as an Ibiza anthem in the making. 

“Feel Free” channels a similarly moody vibe, with Christina Coronel’s trippy vocals rising over brooding groove and spacey techno atmospherics.

The latest drum & bass wonderkid to come from the Hospital Records stable, Keeno works wonders on his remix of “My Love”, taking the staccato bassline and building an monster of a tune around it, packed with soulful melodies and epic breakdowns.

On April 17 Hedonism return with ‘Why Don’t You Say’, a deep vocal cut from their own label head, DJ and producer Simion. Armed with some stellar remixes from Pete Tong favourite Johannes Brecht and Betoko.
 
Kicking off with Simion’s original mix, ‘Why Don’t You Say’ is a deep house bomb bursting with a funky tech bassline, captivating melodies and a soothing vocal line that builds to the harmonious breakdown.  Before the Johannes Brecht and Betoko remixes take Simion’s original into darker territories. 

Marking a triumphant return to his label, Simion’s previous releases on Hedonism include his massive remix of Ben Pearce's 'What I Might Do', and 2014’s U&I. He’s also enjoyed success with a host of releases on other labels including Off Recordings and Suara, where most recently he dropped the acclaimed ‘Give You Love (The Piano)’.

After a short hiatus during 2009, it was with West London based Kye Gibbons aka Foamo, who Paul Arnold chose to re-launch Fat! Records, back in 2010.
The stand out 'Jookie / Centavo' 12” was a huge hit for the blogosphere community and earned top praise from the likes of DJ Zinc, Jack Beats, Rob Da Bank and The Bloody Beetroots’ Bob Rifo, who dubbed him “the new Switch”.
That first release for Fat! went on to cement the foundations for what proved to be a hugely fruitful career for Kye.

His breakthrough singles 'Celestial', 'Ocean Drive' and 'Vibrations' followed during the summer of 2011, as he earned a cracking residency for We Love… Sundays at Space in Ibiza.
Undoubtedly one of the most successful UK exports of recent times, we’ve watched Kye become a regular staple for Rinse FM, earn a huge fan in Laurent Garnier and most notably, make inroads as one half of the chart smashing duo, Gorgon City.

'Hits' is a retrospective of Foamo’s material released on Fat! that includes the 2012 'Rumours EP' and remixes from My Nu Leng and Kry Wolf, which featured on the 'Sherlock Remixes EP' in 2013.

Following the sublime ‘WYV AUW CHU’ in 2013, ‘KUMTO GETHA / HEVA’ sees the release of Tom’s first original music in almost two years.

Forging together his trademark ‘liquatech’ soundscapes with contemporary dark club grooves, ‘KUMTO GETHA’ is a memorable dancefloor weapon, packing a serious low-end punch. 

Meanwhile ‘HEVA’ is a soaring melodic anthem, with gorgeous atmospherics and ethereal vocals flowing to an epic crescendo above an energetic bouncing groove.
