Having introduced acts like Theo Kottis, Luttrell and Tontario to the label since launching in early 2016, the Explorations series returns for the third time, welcoming four new artists to Anjunadeep.

Opening the EP is Belgian producer Compuphonic, who has made a name for himself over the past decade with popular releases on Exploited, Get Physical and Turbo. ‘Island Flutter’ sees him at his melodic best, weaving arpeggiated melodies around a warm textured groove.

French duo and Traum Schallplatten affiliates Antoine Rigail and Fabien Garcia a.k.a We Need Cracks debut with ‘Blue Danube’, a favourite from last years iTunes #1 compilation ‘Anjunadeep 08’ where it was reworked by mixers James Grant & Jody Wisternoff themselves.

Russian talent Modd delivers a stripped back dancefloor moment in ‘Inki’, an intricate blend of delicate soundscapes and subtle melodies.

Closing the EP are UK duo Fluida, fresh from a string of acclaimed releases on Fatboy Slim’s Southern Fried imprint. ‘Not Alone’ showcases their impressive multi-instrumentation alongside deft vocals and trademark hangdrum sounds.

Irish phenom Jay FM returns with "Follow Your Dreams," consisting of two atmospheric deep-progressive cuts. His previous release, "This Moment," showcased a distinct aptitude for downtempo-influenced deep house. On this follow-up release, Jay FM once again seeks to bring the listener into a state of pensive awareness, this time with subtle beats and echoing piano keys.

The memorable title cut begins by taking us deep within a forest-like ambiance. Minute atmospheric effects, such as the chirping of distant birds, punctuate the silence, just as the beat begins to slowly crescendo. Within moments, the once quiet woodland soundscape offers the soothing backdrop for an enchanting rhythm. The repeating refrain "follow your dreams" guides us along this journey, with elegant piano keys echoing in the shadows.

"Mirage" places the listener at a comfortable distance from life's lingering uncertainties; by retaining the atmospheric style of its release counterpart, the track offers something both familiar and novel: where before we were guided by the soothing melodic and vocal motifs of "Follow Your Dreams," "Mirage" offers a pensive moment to ponder the direction we're heading. Fading echoes of Jay FM's signature piano strokes invite further contemplation, as the song gradually reaches its conclusion.
