Oslo trance outfit Accelerationism is the brainchild of Marius Bø & Teo Bachs, whose trippy, high-energy sounds were born back in 2017 as a series of open-air woodland raves. The Norwegian duo are co-founders of the Ute Collective, an umbrella sobriquet spearheading their current charge alongside other artists with forest gathering division Uteklubb and imprint Ute.Rec (and sublabels Sinensis and Translusid for a deeper dive into ambient-, hardtrance as well as Goa). The pair are even known to distribute their music as mix CDs from time to time, an appropriately authentic and tangible format for a 90s sound having such a profound resurgence in a world dominated by digital media. There’s clearly a lot on their plate, and that’s maybe not so surprising: the same passion the duo pours into their many projects is manifested by a diligent and lightning-fast brand of trance - this rabble-rousing duo has energy in abundance. Bassiani Podcast 175 channels Marius and Teo’s firebrand spirit and clandestine forest gatherings with emotive nostalgia as well as fresh and radical optimism. This mix consists of unreleased nordic trance for a dazzling and uncertain future.

In this mix they're showing their peerless and sublime palette, full of sleek techno, slithering psychdelia and full blooded grooves. As you are listening to this, the people in Gaza are listening to the sound of genocide as the terror state of Israel carpet bombs hospitals, mosques, schools, refugee camps and other clear cut civilian targets while the elected leaders of the western world watch in silence.

Let it be known that in November 2023 when this mix came out more than 11.000 Palestinians including more than 4500 children were slaughtered by the fascist Israeli regime in the live streamed attacks on Gaza. Cozi Questions...

1. How and why did you get into producing / dj’ing?
“I’ve always been passionate about this kind of music for over 10 years. Six years ago, I had the opportunity to enroll in a sound engineering university. There, I met a friend who helped me a lot, especially during sessions, teaching me how to produce music. From there, I really focused and began producing my first tracks, releasing them without any big expectations. Little by little, I started gaining more recognition, which eventually led to my first public performance in 2022 at Gare Porto. This opportunity motivated me to continue pursuing this path."

2. Who, What/where was your most coziest gig you’ve been to or experienced and why?
I always find the events at Masada in Milan, especially the Acquario ones, to be the coziest. It’s one of the best places, and the atmosphere is always intimate and family-like, which makes it feel really special.

3. Do you consider yourself an introvert or extrovert in the scene?
“I would consider myself more introverted, as I’m not someone who actively pushes myself into the spotlight. Sure, I enjoy sending demos to labels, trying out new collaborations, and so on, but when it comes to gigs, I prefer to stay in my own space and wait for opportunities to come to me, especially since I don’t have a booking agency yet, so I don’t feel comfortable pushing myself too much.”

4. If you had to choose 1 track to vibe out too forever, what would it be?
So hard to pick one but lately I’ve been obsessed with Camber by Glances

5. What is your routine when preparing for a gig / production/writing session? Do you have any special remedies/ mental/physical prep/ places to go to? 🙂
“I don’t have a specific routine, but when it comes to production, I need to find some inspiration first, whether it’s by experimenting with new sounds or trying out new patches in VCV Rack. From there, things usually flow. 
As for gigs, I try to gather information about the club, the vibe, and when exactly I’ll be performing during the night. This helps me stay as coherent as possible with the set, while also adding a bit of craziness to keep things interesting 🙂

"It was 9.30am, and Ankali was supposed to have been closed for over two hours already—but it wasn’t. The club was still completely full, so atch22 & Alpha Tracks stepped into the booth, and a spontaneous, trancey 4-hour journey began. I was so happy to see Felix quickly embrace our "endless playground" motto. Hands down, it was the longest Ankali night ever!"

Hd Substance has been exposed to electronics for more than three decades, born in
1970 he lived the 80’s as a teeneger, experiencing in realtime all the synth pop golden era
watching his fIrst Depeche Mode concert at the early age of 15.

Soon he estarts the trio Ballet Mecánico with heavy electronic pop influences, touched
soon by the north european EBM dark wave. After a travel to London in the late 80’s he
discovers Acid House and the rave culture, starting his solo project Hd Substance at the
beginning of the 90’s.

His firt release comes in the compilation Electronic Generators, released by the cult label
Geometrik, home of the anthemical industrial band Esplendor Geometrico. After that
stepping stone he releases a several 12” and two albums on the seminal pop label
Elefant Records during the nineties as well as in labels from all over the world.

During the beginning of the 21th century continues releasing in labels like Primary or
Consigned recordings and gives birth to his label Atlas, gainig great succes in the techno
world. 30 years after he is still here, as dj, producer and journalist, giving all his body and
soul to electronic music. Now running the SUB tl label with Leandro Gámez and touring
the best techno clubs like Berghain, Razzmatazz, Rodnya Moscow, Lola Shanghai or The
Works in Detroit.

Last year, on November 30th, Fuse welcomed Denmark's Mama Snake to our control room in light of her Amniote Editions night.  With an untamed aura spreading through the space, the dark hours were marked by hypnotic, slightly mental, and utterly intense temperaments.

Snapping between writhing acid lines, crisp tribal rhythms, and trance-laced techno, her selections struck a perfect balance between the meditative and the manic. The floor was hers: fluid, fierce, and full of intent. A reminder that mastery doesn’t always shout; it listens, reacts, and dares to draw outside the lines when the need knocks.

It’s back to the Norwegian woods with Mikkel Rev for Bassiani Podcast 259. Alongside Oprofessionel he moonlights as Omformer, and co-spearheads the Oslo-based UTE collective, famous for offering mystical forest raves, memorable club nights and their take-home recordings via digital/vinyl outlet UTE.REC (and sub-label Translusid). Trance is the main thrust, but an updated and savvy manifestation of it that’s more than suited to 2025, furnishing its breakneck rhythms with the experimental slant of its IDM and ambient forebears. It’s an elevated approach to a known genre, and perhaps at the bleeding edge of its future potential, keeping sound and woodland birthplace tethered crucial to its mission. As well as a number of EPs out on his homespun label, he’s apt to explore the fringes of his sound and export its singular voice across the map: intelligent trance with a strong emotional charge. This latest instalment keeps that promise with Mikkel on top form, an hour of cathartic beats recorded live at Bassiani: supernatural and stylish fare for sylvan nighttime gatherings.
