Collin R. (AnkD!) has a unique sound in the Hip-Hop and Jazz world. His captivating ear for samples and in-depth knowledge of music create an interesting and mesmerizing soundscape in each song.

Collin was born in 2009 in Jacksonville, Florida. Growing up, he was exposed to Boom Bap and producers such as J Dilla, Q-Tip, RZA, Madlib, etc.

His interest in music and Hip-Hop began when he was only 5 years old. He started to make simple beats on a computer program. After some time, he gained some understanding of music theory and progression.

In late 2019, at the age of 10, he got back into making music on his computer. At first, he was making songs for fun and just messing around, but as he grew older and made more songs, he started to use music as a way to express himself.

Eventually, music production was his strong suit, and he listened to music constantly. He listened to producers such as J Dilla and Madlib, and loved their sound. He started using similar samples in his own work, and quickly understood almost everything there is to know about what made their sampling techniques so special. For Collin, music is a way to express emotions, passion, memories, and more, just like any other art form. 

He continues to create music nearly every day, consistently improving his production quality and becoming inspired by the pioneers of Boom Bap and Hip-Hop as a movement.
