The latest release on Madloch's Crossfade Sounds welcomes DF90 with Astral Projection EP, the Kyiv-based producer's second outing on the label following a confident debut last year. Hailing from Ukraine, DF90 has quickly aligned with the imprint's dub-focused ethos, delivering a sound that values atmosphere, space, and slow-burning momentum. His initial appearance introduced a thoughtful approach to dub techno, and this follow-up builds naturally on that foundation.

Astral Projection EP presents five original tracks that expand DF90's sonic palette while staying rooted in deep, immersive textures. The title cut sets a floating, hypnotic tone, with Deep Sky and Before Dawn exploring subtle rhythmic shifts and nocturnal moods. Andromeda Dub leans further into classic dub techno sensibilities, while Eternal Return closes the EP with a reflective, steady glide. Together, the release confirms DF90 as a developing voice within the Crossfade Sounds catalogue, one whose trajectory points toward continued refinement and depth.

There’s nothing that brings me more joy than playing for close friends and family. This was one of those magical nights when my Disco Space Shuttle tribe hosted one of our annual events at the Great Northern.

I went into the night with a beautiful ethno-house track list in mind.  And ended up going a completely different direction this time. Between dancy and dreamy and high energy….And got a chance to meet and play with two really good souls, Tosh and AlfaState.

This was one of the funnest live sets with lots of good energy in the room.  

I’ve mastered, edited the set and slowed it down a bit for better listening quality.

Interstellar

Here is a set from the depth of my heart an soul. It's different than the things I have been doing lately...maybe because it's from the other side of the world. I didn't mind if the tracks were new or old, I let my feelings lead me. I have processed all the wonderful experiences I was able to have during my stay in Mazunte. I really fell in love with that place...it's beyond words, but I think you might hear it ❤️ Mucho amor para la gente bailadora de Mazunte!

Unsere Nr. 201 kommt dieses Mal von einem Herzensmenschen, welcher gute Musik stets zu schätzen weiß. Soweit ich mich erinnere ist er auch seit meinen eigenen Anfängen auf Soundcloud mit dabei und verwöhnt mit seinen Sets stets die Zuhörer. 

Wir begrüßen in unserer kleinen, aber feinen Reihe den Schweizer FUNKY CHAP. Jeremy ist nicht nur ein toller DJ, sondern auch Gründer und Betreiber der bekannten Podcastreihe „Sunset Grooves“. Neben der ganzen Orga, Kontaktpflege und Kommunikation, verirrt er sich (im positiven Sinne) immer wieder selber Mal hinter die Decks. Dabei zeigt er jedes Mal aufs Neue wie facettenreich elektronische Musik sein kann.

Eine hervorragende Hörprobe seines Könnens ist der für uns arrangierte Podcast. Neben einem sanften und überaus harmonischen Aufbau mit ganz viel Tiefgang, besticht der Beginn mit vielen Indie-Musik typischen Anteilen. Let's Rock!!! Recht schnell wird klar wohin es Jeremy zieht. Nämlich auf den Dancefloor. Nach und nach baut er geschickt den Druck und die Tiefe immer weiter auf, so dass man die Beine nicht mehr ruhig halten kann. Dabei überdreht er aber nie, so dass er immer noch genug Raum zum Träumen anbietet. Eine durchaus harmonische Mischung wie ich finde.  

Wir danken Dir vielmals für dieses besondere Set. Umwerfend, intensiv und überraschend gut. Wenn Indie, dann Hier. Chapeu.

This too shall pass, Lovers und Loverines. In der Zwischenzeit stampfen wir zuhause auf knarzenden Dielenböden, in unsere comforter blankets gehüllt. Wenigstens der Rotkäppchen-Sekt ist immer gut gekühlt, der Weg zum Kühlschrank ist nicht weit. Cheers.
