Still in awe of the artists who conceptualize and produce the tracks I've used in this set.  

I had a chance to play most of these live for sunset with friends at mud-burn.  A few gems that I've discovered since, helped craft a lovely journey.  One of my personal favorites.

WONDER

Sunrise set played on the Disco Space Shuttle at Burning Man on Friday, September 4th, 2017.

So much love and gratitude for my chosen family.  Music will continue to evolve but this set will always have a special place in my heart.  This is the first time I played such a long set live - the encouragement of a few friends (thanks Alex and Denise) inspired me to get on and play in flow. What was supposed to be a few minutes turned into a 3 hour set. 

And it was so perfectly beautiful. Close friends and family watching the sunrise together, deciding to skip the massive art cars and gather around for smiles, dancing and lots of love. Seth, thanks for the support and reminding me to play what I love. Tabreez, thanks for being there and for everything you did while this rookie scrambled and the constant encouragement.  Thanks to everyone who came up during and after and shared love.

Eternity of Now

There’s nothing that brings me more joy than playing for close friends and family. This was one of those magical nights when my Disco Space Shuttle tribe hosted one of our annual events at the Great Northern.

I went into the night with a beautiful ethno-house track list in mind.  And ended up going a completely different direction this time. Between dancy and dreamy and high energy….And got a chance to meet and play with two really good souls, Tosh and AlfaState.

This was one of the funnest live sets with lots of good energy in the room.  

I’ve mastered, edited the set and slowed it down a bit for better listening quality.

Interstellar

Celebrating a dear friend on a magical island and decided to put this together.

I’ve had some of these tracks for a while, and beautiful memories that come with them. I’ve cried to these songs, I’ve laughed to them and felt them in my soul.

This set isn’t perfect. We are not perfect. Nothing ever is.  A wise person once said - we didn't come here to be perfect, we already are. We came here to be gorgeously human. Flawed and fabulous.

This one is dedicated to a brother who is gorgeously human. Someone who I love with all his mess as much as he loves me with mine. Someone who appreciates every layer in each song as much as I do. Someone who sees music, not just hears it.  

Music transcends words. Music is my way to honor our hearts, our growth, our moments of joy and sadness.  The ones in the past and the ones yet to be created. What a gift this world is.  

What a gift it is to be able to listen, and feel. 

Feeling incredibly grateful as I write this.

Hearts on Fire

Everything you need is inside you. Simple but bold words, I first saw in a piece of art by Olivia Steele.

It wasn’t a new message but recently has new meaning.  

I’ve always found energy from friends, family, from new connections, new possibilities, from the chase to explore, the chase to learn and unlock……

Only recently that I’ve started feeling that all of that energy is within.  It maybe a temporary phase in life but I’ve never loved solitude as much as I do now.

There’s magic that happens if you surrender to seeing that deep within you is the magic that you seek.

Everything You Need Is Inside You

This was a live set I played at the Great Northern.  I had the opportunity to set the vibe early on this time, headline and play more up beat than the usual dreamy closing or sunrise sets.  I walked in with a tracklist I was confident about but went completely off script. The result wasn’t perfect but a super fun, complete 180 from what I had planned.  Our events at the Great Northern tend to have such a lovely vibe.  Happy I got to contribute in a small way.

Sunsets are my favorite part of the day.  I wanted to craft something that allows a dreamy dancy vibe but also goes deep. This set includes tracks from some of my favorite artists - Sébastien Léger, Armen Miran and Jody Wisternoff. It’s fun to weave in tracks from artists who play very different styles of music.
