Phils musical influences stem from artists such as Soul Avengerz, Freemasons, Calvin Harris, Bassmonkeys, Soulshaker, Stanton Warriors, Plump DJs, Ian Carey, Raul Rincon and Audio Jacker as well as labels such as Defected and PukkaUp. His career started after he got his first pair of Technics 1210′s in 1999 and began putting on parties around his local area where he quickly began establishing a name for himself at local pubs and private partys. Phil progressed on to help organising larger events and has helped push forward the Housed2Funk label with fellow Dj and producer Marc Mosley. Phil Valentine not only wants to play great music – he wants to make it too! Bar residencies and club guest spots have seen Phil Valentine play in venues in Cambridgeshire for Housed2Funk, including The Lounge Bar St Ives, The Fez Club in Cambridge City and even on board the Riverboat Georgina nestled upon the River Cam also in Cambridge City.
