Vocalist / Songwriter. I started singing at 4 years old. I bought a drum set from a garage sale when I was 12. I bought a DARA acoustic guitar at 13. It had three working strings. I learned "Come as You Are" on it. I got into sampling and electronics in my 20's. I started seriously DJing in my 30's. More history to come.

Elliot C Way is a seeker, a dreamer and a searcher for the truth. His obsession with honest music is all consuming and it bleeds into every aspect of his life. His songs are life lessons learnt the hard way and he has fought for every single word. His gritty and soulful voice is raw and deep with emotion that can shake you to the core. When he sings we listen, for here is a man who has lived many lives and is bearing the weight of it all, nothing is withheld, he has and always will wear his heart on his sleeve. Salt of the earth but something beyond this world.  In the 2010s Way started obsessing over songwriting and legends such as Townes, Neil Young and Bob Dylan he picked up an acoustic guitar and never looked back. Way started by playing outside of his hometown Fort Langley’ liquor store for enough money to buy a 6 pack and a pack of smokes, then onto  small coffee houses playing with other lost youth. It wasn't until playing in a few garage bands in a sort of small town hippy communion log cabin house with a bunch of thirsty young musicians that the path of the future was vividly clear. It was there that he started making the trip into the big city to cut his teeth in small clubs, this time was also the birth of one of Way’s many brain childs that has become a staple and the catalyst for starting the folk, country and rock and roll community in Vancouver BC, Moonshinin Music Fest. With the help from his best friend and mentor Bob Sumner he carved out his own claim in the Vancouver music community, they co created a special evening of music made of what a song writer's wet dreams are made of… For The Sake Of The Song Sundys hosted in Elliots then Vintage clothing store had become the go to place to play and share songs. It was around this time that way formed new friendships and soon to be new band and brotherhood The Wild North, an epic dad rock band that takes their sound by paying tribute to The Boss, Tom Petty and Bob Seger they have taken the city by storm and are infamous  for their energetic and “wild”  live show. With some of the best players in Vancouver that just happen to be his best pals they have been a go to band for a good time in the vancouver music scene and after years of playing they released their long awaited debut album Welcome To… The Wild North in 2019 . Now After years of playing in bands only playing his more personal and heartfelt songs a few times a year, Way has finally returned to his humble beginnings and roots to share his stories. 


He always has been true ...but with this new chapter he is wearing his  influences on his sleeve more than ever! You can see them as clear as day and hear them as loud as thunder crashing. In late 2019 right before the world stopped, Way and his dream team spent a week of recording in his then home Old Man Mountain, a little shack on a hill in the farm country of his home town of Langley BC. The band and a few friends spent days and nights sculpting this old but fresh batch of personal folk songs into bad ass cosmic grooves with funky drums, big fuzzy guitars, thumpy bass and soaring fiddle and pedal steel these sounds and tones that tell the stories as much as the words do. In every song there is a little bit of Townes, Waylon, Kristofferson, Dylan, Springsteen. It's a heavy dose trip and Elliot is in it for the long haul. There’s nothing separating Elliot from his music and or his dreams but the everyday struggles to stay afloat in the sinking world. This is why Way is a lighthouse, a beacon of light to shine on you to find your way back to a simpler time.  If you see Elliot C Way on the street you might only see his Boogie Van, Choppers, His dog, 70s clothing and a very strong vibe but not know him at all, it's only when you listen to Way’s songs that you truly know him.
