Once in a while, you hear music that just hits you in all the right places and feels like the perfect fit for your ears and your mind. 

This 4-tracker by Anna V. was one of those for me. 4 great individual pieces that together paint the perfect picture.

I have known Anna V. for years and can assure you she is an artist with great depth, talent, and passion. It shines through from her personality and into her music. To me, that is especially noticeable on this Noir Music release entitled “Aether”.

I hear all her emotions flowing through the soundscapes and although we are dealing with deep, dark techno pieces they all have a distinct sense of hope and light deeply integrated. 

For me, it was love at first listen and I am proud to release these tracks and welcome Anna V. to the Noir Music family.

Audiovirus - Schimmerlos (Rene Bourgeois Remix)

Having laid strong musical foundations with early releases on Supdub, including debut album ‘Breakthrough’, Rostock’s Carlo Ruetz enjoyed another career defining moment with the 2014 release of ‘Controlled By Robots’. A label debut that lead to his inclusion as one of the new generation of Richie Hawtin’s Minus artists. 

Fast forward to 2016 and Carlo has spread the love further, featuring his music on the likes of KD Raw, Deeperfect, Trapez and most recently Elevate. He closes out the year with his SCI+TEC debut, the impressive double-header of Instinct / Distorted Perception. 

The disconcerting darkness of Instinct with it’s purring bassline and waves of echoing synth create an electrically charged calm-before-the-storm atmosphere. Its tempestuous twin, Distorted Perception, lulls us with its initial hypnotic beats, before finishing with a flourish of metallic strikes that stir the senses.

The journey of this brand new label begins with a 2 track release: "Trivia / Ultraschall” After a great start of collaboration tracks such as "Gotland" and "Orust" on Kompakt Records, label head Julian Wassermann teams up again with Florian Kruse on ‘Trivia’. This track combines a unique sound, modern synth influences and enormous grooves - Just perfect for the club season. Julian also delivers a solo track here with "Ultraschall" which is a Tribute to the legendary techno club in Munich (until 2003). The frame of the track is retro and it turns into a modern dance floor weapon as soon as the catchy arp melody appears. After remixing Nicole Moudaber’s ‘Common Dreams’ for us a few months ago we couldn’t wait to get this talented producer back on the label.

2010 was the last time we heard an original production from André Winter and the same year that Ideal Audio played home to his brace of hits "Magma" and "Gallopper." Today the studio genius returns with his latest double header, "Blackmail" and "White Lie."

Having released under the aliases of Motion Unit and D-Saw, produced together with and for Oliver Huntemann, Xenia Beliayeva, etc, and worked on remixes for the likes of the Chemical Brothers, Underworld, Extrawelt...

January 2009 saw André Winter release his first solo single on Ideal. "Trauma" was an instant success and after a break to produce Oliver Huntemann's third studio album, André returned with his track "Helene" on Terence Fixmer's From Jupiter label and "Dogma" and "Magma" here again at Ideal. 2010 saw his double release on the label and since that time he has been applying his studio expertise to the music of others.

It has been a while, but boy are we glad to have him back and in better form than ever. "Blackmail" with its haunting and scything riffs, huge atmospheric breaks and slow-groove bassline, make for a sinister and yet funky techno workout. "White Lies" rolls with the snare and huge bass melody. Again André brings the funk, heightened further as the synth chords build and filter before the snare snaps back. These may be from Winter but both are set to be summer smashes!
