Setting the scene in the first hour is Bahow, we first discovered her sound on her incredibly crafted @fold.ldn stream last year.
Bahow is a DJ, producer and singer-songwriter from North London
'Heavily influenced by many styles of music, including 80s, all forms of electronica, film scores, jazz and world music. Generally, all forms of art inspire me, as well as nature. I love people but am very introverted. I aspire to make music that connects and is healing for myself and others.
I wanted to take the opportunity to make a fairly peak time mix, or at least my version of this, which is quite percussive, deep and melodic. There are a fair few tracks made in the early 2000s, as I wanted to include some of my favourite artists from that era. It was also a time that I was every weekend, all weekend raver. I honestly could have included a million other tracks from the past and present, but 1 hour was the brief, so…enjoy! x’

In the second hour, we have a mix from @magethebeats ! @arkad1an and Mage have been on many musical adventures in the 11 years we have known each other, with many more to come! It’s an absolute pleasure to have Mage on the show and he’s prepared an hour of exquisite sounds and broken rhythms.
Hailing from south-east London but now based in Leeds, Mage has emerged onto the Leeds scene with recent shows at old red bus station for the License to Jungle crew and Dance More. Heavily influenced by the sounds of @Felix_djrum, @henrygreenleaf and @breakamusic , this mix traces those influences with a focus on breaks, UK bass and percussive rhythms.

For our final free download of the year we are pleased to welcome Ezequiel Arias back for a new and much requested edit. Argentinean artist Ezequiel Arias has enjoyed a litany of successes across his now decade-long career. As a perennial staple in the sets of progressive music tastemakers Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren, the Cordoba resident has emerged as one of the genre’s elite producers in recent years. Anjunadeep, Odd One Out, Replug and Sudbeat have been recent vehicles for his groovy sounds, while his highly regarded DJ sets continue to see him grace some of world's trendiest venues and festivals. As a regular contributor to our series, Ezequiel has taken to editing and remixing iconic tracks from 16 Bit Lolitas, Active Child and most recently Sasha’s titanic take on Unkle’s ‘In A State’. Continuing to search for new pieces to put his elusive stamp on, Ezequiel took to editing Jody Barr’s ‘Accidental Lovers’ earlier this year. Famed for being selected to Sasha’s ‘LUZoSCURA’ project and featuring the vocals of Felicia Douglass, Ezequiel edited the emotive breakbeat piece into a slice of progressive house heaven. Now being championed by the genre's trendsetters, we’re happy to offer this edit as an exclusive free download to cap off the year in style. Enjoy.
