Persian poetry meets The Beatles in legendary Iranian popstar Aref's rare cover of "I Saw Her Standing There", performed in an Iranian 6/8 rhythm, dating back to the mid-60s and marking unique territory in his early discography🤘The Beatles had immense influence on the global rock music scene and Iran was no exception. Their songs were performed and covered by various Iranians artists at the time, and in fact this song was also covered in English by Shahram Shabpareh's band "The Rebels" in the 60s.
