"I wrote this song for my father. The title was inspired by my younger self’s love for origami. I compared my perception of my dad as a young boy to a blank, creaseless piece of paper. Where you see your parent as this super human that knows all and does no wrong. As I grew older, each step was like putting a fold in the paper, with each fold representing a chapter in the relationship. When all the folds finally come together, you get this paper swan. A point of understanding and genuine friendship."

The sixth track off of Roots-Pop singer-songwriter, Annalie Prime. Ms. Adderley is part two of a story about a young woman named Jasmine Adderley. She is a character I've been working on for years; a reflection of myself. In this part of the story she has learnt a few lessons, said her goodbyes and is on her way to new adventures. I wanted it to be a sort of motivation for women especially, for them to know that it is okay to adventure, it is okay to be excited about travelling rather than settling down. Do you!

I genuinely feel like most of my life I've been saying goodbye; as if the only way to say hello again is to say goodbye. This was an awfully difficult life lesson for me to learn but I got it and I got it just in time. From the death of loved ones, to physically moving away, to emotionally and mentally moving away, it's all painful but this track speaks of the eventual and evident triumph that comes after pain. This is my favourite song of the album

Your Best Life Is Not Ahead Of You [Season Finale]

Annalie Prime is a Roots-Pop singer, songwriter and music composer. Her sound is a fusion of genres with roots elements like Calypso, Reggae, Blues, Jazz and  Folk. In 2020, Annalie released her debut album entitled "I Think Too Much" which revolves around the topic of mental health and self improvement. In an interview with Laura Dowrich for Caribbean Beat Magazine, she described the album as " a bunch of journal entries". In 2021 she released her sophomore album entitled "Nine". In an interview via Loop News TT , she said that the album was created as a response to the "sudden rise in gender based violence". The singer also added that she wanted to, "Celebrate, uplift and inspire the WOMAN" with the latest project.
