Munich based DJ  -J.Phono- developed his love for House Music as a teenager.
With enthusiasm he started djing on Vinyl with funky/jackin' and deep House Music, 
and was one of the co-founders of the "Schlachthouse"- and "Suburban Sessions"-partys in Munich's suburbs, from 2008 on. 

Today, he is mostly into House, Deep House and from time to time some minimalistic influenced
or techy music.

"Musik kann Gefühle oft besser erklären als Worte" - das könnte man auch über die Arbeit des Neubrandenburger Produzenten sagen, der schon sehr früh durch seinen Vater seine Liebe zur Techno-Musik fand. Sich selbst zu definieren gehört zu den schwierigsten Aufgaben der Welt. Um ein passendes Wort zu finden, welches Markus und seine Musik beschreibt, muss man ihn sehen und erleben. Kommt vorbei. Hört! Tanzt! Genießt! Macht euch selbst ein Bild vom jungen Neubrandenburger und seinem musikalischem Gespür und mit ein wenig Glück findet jeder von euch sein eigenes Wort, um Markus zu beschreiben.

"Music can often explain feelings better than words" - this could also be said about the work of the Neubrandenburg producer, who found his love for techno music very early through his father. Defining oneself belongs to the most difficult tasks in the world. To find an appropriate word which describes Markus and his music one has to go see and experience him. Stop by. Listen! Dance! Enjoy! Get your own idea of the young Neubrandenburg based DJ and his fine musical sense. Eventually, everybody will find their own word to describe Markus.

My love for electronic music started more than a decade ago when my best friend introduced me to the wonderful world of musical production. It rapidly became a hobby and I have been forging my own taste and musical character ever since. Often a mixture of daring and touching melodies furnished by relatively hard techno beats, my tracks are influenced by many styles. The fact that I have lived in many places like Amsterdam, Montreal, Lyon and Berlin where electronic music has become a big phenomenon, plays a major role in this diversity.

The aspiring era of electronic music in the late 90s led Herr Oppermann behind the decks at an early age. Driven by an enthusiasm for the electronic sounds of synthesizers, he quickly developed a deep connection to the music that still permeates his work today. His passion began with his own events and a residency at a club in his home town. From there, his path led him to further stations, including a  weekly radio show as well as performances in clubs such as the legandary Stammheim in Kassel, Warehouse in Cologne, Uebel & Gefährlich in Hamburg or the JuicyBeats Festival in Dortmund just to name a few. 

As a DJ, Herr Oppermann transforms his dedication to music onto the audience, combining classic and modern elements of electronic music. His style describes a varied journey between deep, minimalistic elements to Afro- and Melodic-Tech-House and makes each of his sets a journey with a lot of variety. 

With releases on labels like Tach & Nacht, Amber Recordings and Deep Stories, he also shows his producer qualities by transferring his intimate relationship to electronic music into melodic tech house. His commitment to the creative diversity of the scene is reinforced by his work as a host of the renowned Klangextase podcast series and for the Deep Stories Label Crew.
