From the shadows of the subconscious comes a sonic tale that prowls and pulses. A Dream Named Wolf is more than a track—it’s a moodscape: burnt orange skies, midnight tremble, and longing caught in howl-form.

When my son Andrew was back in town recently, we wanted to record something, and we decided to re-record this song, which was always one of our favorites. Back in 2015, this was the first track we recorded after forming Penelope's Thrill. (You can find that old demo way down at the bottom of the SoundCloud page.) 
On this version, I play a Gretsch 5422 and a Vintage Modified Strat. Andrew plays a '78 Guild S-60. My wife Barbara also joins us on the vocals during the bridge/chorus--so this is a true family affair!!

I remember the American story Niland soldiers with great emotion and respect for this mother who had just lost two sons, inspiring Steven Spielberg's film "Saving Private Ryan"... and the Russian story of a Kuban peasant girl, Epistinia Stepanova, who lost her nine sons - Alexandre, Nikolai, Vasily, Philip, Fedor, Ivan, Ilya, Pavel and Alexander - on the altar of Victory.
