In Solitude by Syntaleta/Collab version (Feat. Neno J. on electric guitars)

I had the very good fortune to connect with Andy H aka “Noobly” a few months ago over music that we mutually admired and we agreed to find a future opportunity to collaborate. This is the result. Noobly’s beautifully rich track, propelled by his soaring guitar work, felt like a kind of call to prayer to my ear. I tried to echo this somewhat in singing the bridge. Lyrically, just for kicks I used the Socratic Method to construct the verses (persuasion through Q&A) so that this song’s meaning becomes self-evident and hopefully more of a personal experience for each listener. Lonely traveler

An electronic/industrial piece, with some fusion elements. Out of my comfort zone here! Maybe it reflects the tempest of the times.

Cosmic Call

I started making this piece with the intention of it being a set of songs that could stand on their own as well as being an open collaboration, but then it took on a life of its own, and things just got out of hand from there, lol! 

But I still managed to control myself and didn’t add too many samples though, haha! 

I was listening to 1985 and 1986 hip hop singles when making this so….

You can download this for free as well as some of the unmixed stems on Bandcamp. The lyrics can also be found on Bandcamp since SC didn’t provide enough space in the song info. I reached my description limit!

This song began with Josh coming up with it on his electric piano and fretless bass, to which he added some banjo, then mandolin. Once he had a solid basis for the song, he shared it with the rest of Eclectic Collective for them to add their parts. 
  Ken was first up, adding his drums in an such a creative way that matched Josh's bassline perfectly. It was originally recorded to a looper disco beat, but that was blown out of the water by Ken's creative drumming. Tez jumped in next, adding his thrilling guitar to the second half of the song. Not to be outdone, Stephen batted clean up, adding his textural and melodic guitar to the first half. He also added some subtle, but brilliant acoustic guitar to the first half, too. 
  This is a great example of Eclectic Collective coming up with an original band sound out of one of Josh's seeds. We're always pushing boundaries and trying to find fun and exciting ways to build a song. Lots of teamwork in here, too, of course. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed making it.

When David sent me this gorgeous track with emotional back story I knew it would make a lovely song. The lyrics can be interpreted in many ways but I sing this for my late Father who passed away in 2013.
