Mark says - 
In the 5 years I have been working with Rod, I have been encouraged to reach as far as my experience allows me to, with complete support at all times. So far we have completed 11 songs and have experimented with several others that made for a great learning curve for me, with several more at other stages of development... Watch this space, however as we are methodical and patient, therefore it may take some time to get them off the ground.

The subject matter of this song may be based on a different scenario but it is also a token of my gratitude to my inspirational collaborator and friend Rod, who has given me much confidence to rise to the ambition of his musical creativity and meticulous arrangements. Thank you all for giving this song your time.

Rod says - 
This song was conceived a long time ago to be sung in Spanish, but Mark did a magnificent adaptation with his English lyrics, and the meaning is 100% faithful to the original spirit, even though he hadn't heard the original song in Spanish. Technically, there are three voices together, consolidating a multi-vocal performance. The synth sounds emulate my old analog and FM synths, and the guitars were routed through an old console to achieve the vintage sound I was looking for.

Tom's piano melodies are so inspirational, not just to me (Mark) but also to Jussi, Georg and Boon. The energy of this piece carried us all off on a wonderful journey. We hope you enjoy the joyful enthusiasm that Tom initiated. Tom also gave me the key line, 'My Way Through' and I had to run with it as it made so much sense with this uplifting and hopeful music. The Principles

Fearless Wisdom

The song Gathered was originally written by the wonderful guitarist David Dunham, who is not only an outstanding musician but also a good friend of mine. Some time ago, David asked if I could imagine rearranging and re-recording the piece. Since I’ve always been inspired by his music, my answer was an immediate yes!

From the very first listen, I knew this was a truly special and beautiful song — a wedding song filled with warmth, celebration, and deep emotion. The theme fascinated me right away, especially because I had never worked on a song like this before.

At the same time, I realized it wouldn’t be an easy task. I had boldly told David that I could imagine turning his original 4/4-time piece into a version in 6/8 time.

I also wanted to include something that reflects what David loves most — his Irish roots. That’s how a new arrangement came to life: a rhythmic, Irish-inspired folk song with subtle progressive elements.

To bring the idea to life, I reached out to my good friend Mike Fox, who thankfully agreed right away. Mike contributed his guitar playing and his fantastic vocals, adding a unique and special character to the song.

The result is a version of Gathered that honors David’s original, celebrates love and connection, and reflects our shared musical expression.

This started with a very beautiful piano piece by Tom, then advanced by Jussi’s great electric guitar lead. I added an imagined lyric about someone not being able to commit to a relationship and the song was completed by Boon’s excellent acoustic guitar work. Thanks to all for their wonderful contributions. Thanks everyone for giving this a listen. Much appreciated by us all.

And on every front, by all metrics, under any assessment - empirical, analytical, theoretical, logical, it gets progressively worse.

I’ve sat on the fence about Christianity, mainly because of so many things that go on in the world that are just wrong. Most of the suffering and chaos comes down to bad human choices. Now, the way the world’s population is being raised has left us with people in charge who’ve lost all common sense. These so-called leaders need to sit down, look in the mirror, and ask themselves: Are they truly good people? Do they serve their countries or their own agendas? With a couple of songs I’ve written, I’m no longer on the fence — I’m calling for Jesus to return and sort out this world before it’s too late. Hopefully, This Man from Nazareth will somehow get out there, reach the world, and make those in power finally stop and think. The song reflects on his journey and calling, his disciples, and what we might need from him again today. Gospel harmonies blend with a reggae-pop groove to give the message both bounce and soul. It’s not just a song — it’s a plea wrapped in rhythm, aimed at those who’ve forgotten how to lead with heart.
