Rain Cry

This song is dedicated to my Great Grandfather David Pentland, who was a miner in a little mining village called Rosewell in the Pentland hills just outside of Edinburgh. It was an incredibly hard existence for the men,women and animals that worked there, and also for the families anxiously waiting for them to surface each day.

My huge thanks to Martin for his brilliant work on this! A beautiful, true interpretation that lifts the song to new heights!

After hearing Midnight Blues, John was inspired to write another blues song in the same tempo and theme, but different perspective, and asked me if Jim and I would be interested in doing another collab, sending me these wonderful inspiring lyrics. Although I wrote it straight away, the words so beautifully spoke to me, it has been a while on the go.....sorry John!
