It may be obvious that this piece has its roots in Beethoven's "Moonlight Sonata" Op. 27 No. 2.  My first iterations were much closer to the original but I have now wandered far afield.  Sincere thanks to you for listening.  I'm honored.

Pour essuyer le fard
qui coule de mes yeux,
je me sers du buvard,
mais je n'y vois pas mieux.
Tu n’as pas écrit une

vu que le porte-plume
se refuse à mes doigts.

J'ai bien peur que la page
ne reste toute blanche
autant que ton visage

I’m not playing favorites, you’re just shaped weird
I muttered and slowly disappeared

Then from the drawer came a heavy sigh

The kettle rumbled like a gathering storm
"You never let me finish! You just use me! Am I just STEAM to you?!"

Your whole job is steam I tried to explain
But she shrieked and hissed like a runaway train

The microwave chimed in, whispering from the shadows
"Heated, but never heard"

You literally ding when you're done I said, blinking at the wall


Then came a tantrum from the toaster’s slot
"Another BAGEL?! I’m a toaster, not your backup quest!"

You literally have a bagel setting
I shouted back, waving the instruction manual like proof

The salt grinder twirled with dramatic intent
"If you over season one more time, I’ll submit a formal complaint"

To WHO? THE SPICE GIRLS?! I shouted toward the ceiling

Even the mirror looked me up and down and said
"I’m not saying anything, love, but I wouldn’t wear that"

I didn’t ask for your fashion review I replied, tugging my sleeve

Then I opened a drawer and the whisk let out screams
"MY SENSE OF SELF IS UNRAVELING AGAIN"

Yeah. Join the club

And then, the spoon
Yeah. The same fuckin spoon from last time
It slipped. And as it hit the floor, it announced

"This is why no one trusts you"

Therapy with Krissie #2 ☕😵 Coffee First, Sanity Later 😵☕

This is an original composition of mine featuring solo Cello and English Horn. [very similar sounding to an oboe but with a lower range] A very soft felty piano and background viola sections.

It is called “Unforsaken”. The official definition of “Forsaken” is to be completely deserted or helpless, abandoned. So the title of this piece is the opposite of that. So this is the story of been forsaken, and then clawing your way back with forgiveness and compassion to become unforsaken.
