Let Her Go

Well I was sitting in the lobby of the Commodore hotel 
When in walked a woman I used to know so well 
She was, looking like a million after all these years

As she walked across the room, to the reception desk 
A strange kind of feeling came into my chest 
And all them old memories came rushing in

The times we spent together 
The day that we met 
First time I held her hand I never will forget 
The way she smiled at me for no reason at all 
Still got some old photographs from the time she used to call

Well, last time I saw her she was waving goodbye 
Walking down the road with teardrops in her eyes
All I could do was watch and let her go

Sometimes I wonder, what it might have been like 
If things had worked out a little differently 
Could we ever’ve  shared this life

Through the years I must admit 
I think about her now and then a little bit
And all them old memories come rushing in

After a revitalizing summer break i finished one of the tracks that i was planning to do so. This is my first attempt on an arrangement that has exclusively the orchestral element with many melodies and instruments played simultaneously giving that classical feel.
