Monochrome presents, 𝖕𝖗𝖎𝖓𝖙𝖊𝖒𝖕𝖘 𝓥 : Roxane, Ultra Rec. / Combine Soundsystem.

This spring, Monochrome is offering each month to one or several artists to discover their influences and inspirations through a forty-five minute to two hour recording. These three recordings will focus on percussive rhythms between Ambient, Deep Techno and Drum & Bass.

Artist biography :
Resident artist at Ultra Rec. and member of Lyon's Combine Soundsystem collective. Roxane shapes her musical universe through intense, progressive sets. Between dub, bass music, breakbeat and deep techno, she creates a mystical soundscape marked by the raw energy of the English scene and the powerful sounds of dub soundsystems.

Meet Pyramid of Knowledge, also known as K.O.P . 32. With a background in audio engineering and a passion for blending dance music genres, he has been carving out his own unique sound identity in recent years.

His records, released on respected labels like Hard Beach Entertainment, Craigie Knowes, and his own imprint Beyond the Bridge, have garnered attention from discerning selectors,

In 2021, K.O.P . 32 embarked on a new chapter by launching his own label, Beyond the Bridge, providing a platform for his musical vision. Through this imprint, he channels a range of emotions, exploring elements of psychedelia, depth, tribal rhythms, complexity, and darkness.

With this new EP we want to involve the listener in a journey into the mysteries of ancient Egypt. The civilization of ancient Egypt was developed along the Nile Valley from the floodgates, to the south and to the border with the present Sudan, to the mouth, to the delta, to the Mediterranean Sea, for a total area of ​​about 1000 km. Although the territory was much larger, including much of the Libyan-Nubian Desert, human settlements, since the earliest times, developed only in the narrow green belt close to the banks of the wide river, in some places even only a few hundred meters. These lands are rich in charm and mystery and with our music we want to retrace them mentally, without real borders.
