Four Twenty Break Bar - Athens [2015-01-25]

Unearthed from the depths, 2008 at the Nautilus Studios in Wellington New Zealand. This was an experiment in playing all instruments, no sampling, ultimately building personal atmospheres.
Robin Jones leant his bass clarinet and Nat Hunt her cello to the mix.
All other instruments played, recorded and arranged by Andre Lamb.
Thanks to those who gave use of their mics, vintage instruments and time. The possibility of recovering the lost working file from a dead hard drive still exists... Should it happen a mixed and mastered version will go up for download.

Sweet Life Society - "Hard On" Jon Kennedy Remix (2017)

I decided to take this in a slightly different direction and lighten the tense feel of the original.
I wanted to give the vocals a bit more focus and put the horns to more use.
After much passing  between ideas I decided to combine and make them one.
What starts out as an old school hip hop joint moves into a crunchy reggae dancer.
There is a lot of original KJ recorded material in this rebuild (dudek, keys, drums, vibes, guitar, organ etc) as that's my style ;)
I had a blast working on this.
