Dj Marcon & The Palo Santos, the new heavyweight Afro-beat music project from Bulgaria are presenting their second release on Timewarp Music. After their African and tropical jazz-funk debut release 'Parara' they are continuing their musical journey with 'Still Here'. 

While Dj Marcon & The Palo Santos are being heavily influenced from west African, soul beats, 'Still Here' is a conductor for these musical waves. 'Still Here' is a two track release full groovy and uplifting! 

The first track of the EP 'A Journey South' is an upbeat instrumental song with heavy Afro beats, a wicked brass section, stiff baseline followed by an afrofunk guitar and gives a melody that makes our mind to want to travel! 

The second track 'Still Here' has a great vibe of Afrobeat tone as well but with more smoothness and mellow, cooked up with soul and funky vibes, a great groove and a fat baseline. Again the brass section is dominating and empowering!

Sydney, Australia’s Omegaman is back at it again, this time with a bangin’ Remix EP of his recent release on Fort Knox Recordings, the Hot Sauce EP. A longtime producer, collaborator and remixer, Omegaman has already left a mark on the international funk and breaks scene. Building from a very strong original release, Omegaman enlisted the production talents of some of his closest friends around the world, and the result is a funky slice of the tropics dished up for the dance floor massive.

Washington, DC’s kings of Tropicaliente, the Empresarios are featured on Oye Como Suena and the Skeewiff Remix ignites the vibe into an irresistible salsa breaks banger.
The funk hits the fan with the Fort Knox Five Remix of Lovers Skank featuring Patou, pure electro-ska with some groovy bass lines. The hi-hats and percussion are crisp on Qdup’s Remix of A Bailar featuring Vincent Sebastian, another slice of electro Latin funk for the dance floor. Rounding out the EP are the big beats and reggae skanks of DJ Maars’ Remix of Follow Me, and Mustafa Akbar’s vocals fit perfectly with the funky dancehall soul sound.

Blending together various rhythms from Latin, reggae, ska and funk has become Omegaman’s calling card, and he has pulled it off once again. Building on the strength of the original release, the Hot Sauce EP takes it to the next level with hard hitting bass, electro, breaks and big beat designed to make people dance.

Mash & Munkee are Kolja Starkowski (aka Deli-Kutt) and David Hanke (aka Unifairfly/Renegades of Jazz) and are based in Wuppertal and near Hamburg, Germany. Kolja was DJing and David was running a radio show before they met online at the record database site Discogs and, after discovering a common taste in music, teamed up to form Mash & Munkee. The rest, as they say, is history!

After a series of well-received singles on labels such as Backslide, Jack To Phono, Funk Weapon and of course Hero Records they spent time compiling and remastering the best of these releases and writing new tracks to compliment them and ended up with this amazing debut album. Taking musical influences from all over the world this album contains the straight up funk of the single “Superbad” and the scratch-filled b-boy grooves of “Here We Come!” together with afrobeat and latin influenced groovers such as “Kibo” and “Venga Veras”. From downtempo hip hop head-nodders like “Mexican B-Boy” to the faster tempos of the dancefloor-filling nu-funk of “Make A Difference” this album encompasses all that we at Hero Records love about music. Available as a very limited CD with collectable 6-panel digifile sleeve and digital download this album is destined to be a smash hit with lovers of everything funky.

This first remix single is brought by Athens based producer RSN. As you can discover on this particular remix, RSN managed to bring the original song's dub-reggae-funk style along with the Reggae-Raga & Dancehall vocals from Gobey into his music style & territory, blended with soul, trip hop, downtempo and his floating music character over the original song.
