[untitled] Perú: Adentro es la segunda presentación de la colaboración curatorial entre los sellos Love in the Endz (UK) & Matraca (PE) enfocada en presentar al mundo talento del país Inca. En este volumen reunimos artistas peruanxs de distintas generaciones que trabajan desde dentro del país en un sonido único, cada cual a su manera, con artistas como: ARK, Carly Core, Cybernovia, Dr.100, Fer Lerant, Hatajo Som, Hanuna, Irazema, Khromatik, Pira Lemu, Shushupe, Vudufa, entre otros.

El Perú, al día de hoy, finales del 2025, atraviesa la crisis política y social más grave de su historia republicana con más de 8 presidentes en los últimos 10 años y los índices de violencia más altos de todos los tiempos. El congreso cooptado por el crimen organizado impone con leyes pro mafia y balas un régimen dictatorial y violento. Los militares apoyan esto así como el gobierno de USA que avanza en su intervención en el continente.

Mientras tanto en las calles el sicariato domina extorsionando a diario hasta a los más humildes trabajadorxs. Los músicos populares, por su parte, han comenzado a usar chalecos antibala en sus presentaciones ya que ya han asesinado a varios y herido a otros de bala en el escenario recientemente. Algunos, como la gran mayoría de jóvenes en el país desea, han optado por la migración como dejamos constancia en [untitled] Perú: Afuera.

La policía, por su parte, en vez de proteger a la ciudadanía se dedica a asesinar artistas (como TRVKO) e inocentes que reclaman por derechos, así como a reprimir la cultura y la libertad política. La Policía como el Estado y sus agentes han perdido ya total credibilidad.

La comunidad musical, frente a este panorama distópico y desolador, resiste firme creando con mayor ternura, o violencia, en sus ritmos y sonidos. De esta manera este álbum deja constancia de una diversidad que da cuenta de la riqueza cultural milenaria del Perú y una comunidad que exige Justicia y Dignidad para todxs lxs peruanxs.

To mark their 15th anniversary, Phuture Shock Musik are proud to present 'Phuture Past: 15 Years of Phuture Shock Musik', a special compilation celebrating fifteen years of boundary-pushing,  groove-laden sounds - spanning house, broken beat, UK bass and beyond – which taps into the past, present and future of the Bristol record label’s ever-evolving catalogue; including tracks by the many artists that have helped towards shaping the sonic identity of Phuture Shock Musik thus far.
 
Ahead of the compilation’s full-length release (TBA early 2026), will be a limited vinyl-only sampler featuring 4 brand new cuts lifted from the album by PSM alumni Trinidadian Deep, Karmasound, Yuu Udagawa and Sentinel 793, offering an early taster of the project and showcasing the rich diversity of the label's output.
 
Getting things underway on the sampler’s A side is Trinidadian Deep with the afro-deep vibrations of ‘Anger Wave’, a track built around a lilting soca-esque bassline that skanks thru an intoxicating mix of dreamy pads, cosmic synth solos and tech-infused stabs, entwined with tribal chants, and over shuffling, percussion-rich rhythms, altogether taking you on a spiritual high. Next up is Karmasound who contributes the Rhodes-drizzled ‘Puzzles’, his first new material on PSM in five years, which is a rather contemplative broken beat jam suited for those quiet twilight moments as the sun sets, full of twinkling, jazz-inflected chords executed with smooth-as-butter delicacy and underpinned by stuttering MPC-driven beats and slinky bass grooves.
 
Over on the flip is Yuu Udagawa with the glacial tones of ‘Prismatic Time’, a mesmerising, synth-laced electro fantasy, propelled by hard-hitting 80s analog beats and complete with trippy vocals that ramble thru a dizzying whirlwind of icy synth arpeggios channeling the kosmische heights of Tangerine Dream. Rounding out the action on a seemingly mellow tip is Sentinel 793 with ‘Yer Rite’, a left-leaning bruk ‘n bass chugger, prickling with metallic clangs and sweetened up with jazzy overtones via serene keys and mystical flute loops, before things take a heavier turn with an onset of stomping techno-inclined kicks and enough discordant bass growls to make you screw up your face – in a good way, of course.
