After 4 years, Ontal return to the label, with ‘Almagest’ Parts I & II on the A side, giving two different interpretations of their trademark industrial textured techno. One with a focus on the bassline and one kick drum oriented version.

The B side of SPLIT#2 hosts Athens techno producer and label resident DΛS, presenting his music for the very first time on vinyl. Driving, broken beat techno with an industrial edge.

Fierce and forlorn, Swarm Intelligence’s “The Shattered Self” delves into the complexities of human existence in an era dominated by technological advancements. In this thought-provoking exploration, the artist challenges listeners to confront the consequences of a near future where physical and mental augmentation are commonplace. In a world where limbs can be upgraded, where consciousness can be uploaded, where memories can be digitally archived and shared on social media, where our AI clones can liberate us from menial tasks... What remains of ourselves? Who is our self?

Swarm Intelligence draws influences from black metal, industrial-tinged dub, and post-rock, splicing these with his distinctive take on techno to devastating effect. "Dejected," the inaugural track, unleashes grinding walls of feedback against a relentless broken beat, its foreboding atmosphere heightened by a menacing low growl of distorted bass that permeates the unease. It's a disquieting overture that sets the stage for the tumultuous journey ahead.

The second track, “Eros” envelops the listener in a visceral soundscape, where haunting atmospheres intertwine with grinding feedback and pounding percussion. Initially tense, the track evolves into an unexpected and almost euphoric climax, adding an unforeseen emotional depth to the sonic narrative. Yet, beneath the surface, an undercurrent of tension remains—an ever-present reminder of the fragility of our self.

On the flip side, "Inciter" channels inner fury through a guttural chant punctuating a Birmingham-styled broken beat, marching forth with unyielding force.

Finally, "Portal" offers a moment of quiet introspection, as haunting pads echo a mournful refrain while micro recordings of whirring machinery are assembled into the percussion section. It serves as a poignant curtain-closer.

Through "The Shattered Self," Swarm Intelligence challenges listeners to reconsider their perceptions of identity, consciousness, and agency in an age where the machine and the human converge. It's a haunting and profound journey—one that invites introspection and contemplation long after the final reverb tails fade into silence.

PREMIERE: Swarm Intelligence - Portal

Ryuji Takeuchi's career goes back 20 years, with his first releases defining his style as a techno-oriented producer. However, his subsequent artistic development has evolved into a more raw, industrial-influenced sound, and today, we see his artistic persona as closely linked to this sub-genre that combines elements of both musical genres.

Ryuji Takeuchi joins the Blame Rec catalogue alongside other big names we associate directly with the label, such as Katran and Violet Poison. The Japanese artist is an ideal candidate to join the ranks of this Italian label, as both projects have many points in common, especially a musical perspective based on the solidity and oversaturated energy of techno-industrial.

Either/Neither is an EP with two original tracks and three covers. Either is extremely aggressive, fast and with a clear tendency towards distorted textures. Neither is also generated in a hostile environment, although somewhat slower, and with a syncopated rhythmic opening bars that vary sharply to the binary. Hypnoskull creates a version of Either, and Cervello Elettronico and Tomohiko Sagae remix Neither.

While Scalameriya's first album, Hubris (2016) on Genesa Records, was an exploration of what he considered "uncharted territory" at that time, Aeon Core (2022) on Perc Trax, on the other hand, was a process of cataloguing the various techno influences from his teenage years, seen through the lens of his modern, unmistakable style.
The next chapter of Scalameriya's turbulent saga in electronic music is Kornukopiya (2024), the manifesto of a mad scientist, a depiction Nikola resisted for years that ultimately became an embraced part of his persona as he finally takes on the lab coat of a genre-defying artist he was bound to become.
His documented, unwavering discipline has transformed into nothing less than rituals that are performed daily, securing him the grace of the muse as a result.
With Kornukopiya, Scalameriya ventures beyond the ordinary and dashes to the forefront of avant-garde club music, evading the shackles of conventional techno yet again while he effortlessly showcases his limitless hyperphantasia across 25 tracks, each as relentless and articulate as the other, making this album an auditory opulence for listeners eager to experience more than just a simple interaction between an effective kick and a random blip.
Always remaining conceptual, worshiping the idea and imagination as sacred phenomena, this time he consolidates the ever-recurring motifs of sci-fi, danger, and weight in his music with the mystical, bringing forth coherent displays of sound that, collectively as an album, emit an uncanny fusion of mechanical ferocity and ethereal enchantment.
At the moment, Kornukopiya can be considered Scalameriya's "magnum opus", but with his merciless pursuit of the apex of sound design, this statement will likely be rendered obsolete in the blink of an eye.

Oxygeno - Panic Attack

Unknown delivers his first EP called "Inferno", which is part of the limited tapes catalog of the Greek label OSM tapes. The release contains collaborations with Bad Faith Actor (half of Alpha & Necromante) and Dolgener (half of MDD) and also remixes of Exome and Opioid Slot Machine. The producer has reunited his most industrial/noisy tracks for this release.

Opioid Slot Machine has remixed “Slavery” showing us the ability he has to transform a techno track into a version more inspired by drone sounds.
