The 24th of December marks our 10th TNDB-podcast. For this episode we've invited the mysterious and illustrious Janice.

Janice has played once in BASIS. He kept the dancefloor alive and energetic with his 2-hour (!!) live set containing solely own material. From that point on, we knew right away that this electronic project is unique.

Janice has been releasing quality tracks on his own label Janice, recently just dropping his fifth EP. His tracks are gaining a steady following under educated audiences. Different artists are picking up on his musical vision, which resulted in a few collaborations. Janice and Bill Youngman (Headless Horseman) have produced and released together on Janice. Janice has an project with Luis Flores called "I Murdered". "I Murdered" has already released on MORD and is chartered by many big artists in the scene.

Sure Thing Mix 84: Forest On Stasys

For this edition of our podcast series we have the honor to invite another great italian artist, Antonello Meloni, who's now based in a small village in Sardinia (Italy).
His path started with "spacedrome", a Roman collective that he created in 2012 with some friends, and then moved to Berlin.  With this project they released their first works on labels such as Abyssal audio, Elastica records, Modulate rec, between others.
He performed in many Italian clubs before moving to Berlin with "Spacedrome" and after doing so, he was also able to perform in many Berlin Clubs and festivals  (Hoppettosse, Acud macht neu, Mench meyer, Freqs of nature, etc.).
Lately the Spacedrome project was put aside for artistical reasons. 
From this artistical break, the project Save your Atoll was born, focused on deep hypnotic and atmospheric Techno.

Ben Cyan is a London-based techno lifer, electronic music lover, and vinyl hoarder - responsible for the Kaibosh deep techno series on Soundcloud.

With broad tastes, shaped through life-changing experiences at '90s raves - soundsystems stationed in remote idyllic locations or grimy inner city warehouses - his selections are influenced by a 20+ year fascination with underground sounds and culture, ranging from techno, early jungle/breakbeat - to electro, dub and ambient.

Although now solely focused within the realms of deep techno, those early experiences and memories of the scene - immersive, psychedelic and ethereal - are threads which still run through his sets and define the tracks he seeks out today.

As usual, this set explores the deeper side of hypnotic and atmospheric techno. Rich in emotion, dubbed-out vibes and sub saturation - he's on a mission to build momentum and modulate the energy across the session.

Ness is a dj and producer born and raised in Sardinia, acknowledged for his style over a decade of music with a background in sound engineering and many years of research and fine-tuning. He gradually developed a distinct technique with a strong focus on atmosphere combined with hypnotic rhythms. Having performed in some of the most relevant clubs and festivals around the globe, he steadily releases music and collaborates with several renowned techno labels within the scene. With experience as label manager through the years with partnership on Mono Records and The Gods Planet, he later established his spin off project label Ness Reworks in 2018. Ness music and dj set are well accepted and defined as an exploration of wide range of deep hypnotic techno and ambient soundscapes.

Owner and Electronic Explorer in Danza Nativa.

The creativity of Forest On Stasys is Influenced by tribal minimalist techno in the nineties and the deepest and most abstract techno currently. In his tracks the most seductive elements are the use of resonant basses perfectly combined with long and reverberated pads, extensive sonorous landscapes that are modified by continuous movement of LFO, solid grooves and strident percussions.

But not everything that comes out of his head is created with an intention to be used on the dance floor. He has a great admiration for drone and ambient tracks, without a rhythmic pattern that predominates, where the main factor is to captivate the listener with melodies that can be marked by a strong melancholy or with notes that give a certain feeling of satisfaction depending on his current mood.

At the beginning of 2019, he released his first work 'A Vision Of Light' in Danza Nativa, where currently he is one of the pillars of the label based in Buenos Aires.

Forest On Stasys 는 Danza Nativa 의 오너이자 전자음악의 탐구자이다.

그의 창의성은 90년대의 부족적 미니멀 테크노와 최근의 깊고 추상적인 테크노에 영향받았다. 그의 트랙에서 가장 매혹적인 요소는 공명하는 베이스들과 길고 리버브된 패드, LFO 의 운동과 견고한 그루브 그리고 격렬한 퍼커션으로 지속되는 광활한 음향적 랜드스케이프의 완벽한 조화이다.
