Our next artist hails from Tel Aviv, he has been a fan of electronic music since a young age. Originally from Istanbul but living in Tel Aviv he has been doing weekly parties with his collective friends from OBSCURE for almost about 2 years. In May 2020, they launched a podcast series called the @parallel-perceptionseries and they are looking to inspire the people of Tel Aviv. A new project with a clear vision to showcase journeys of the hypnotic, atmospheric, and deep techno sound. Please welcome @yoelsimoni

His broad spectrum of musical nuances is quite admirable. Thanks to that fact and being able to oscilate between genres, he creates variable and profound atmospheres which come together as a whole.

Mysteries of the Deep CXXV - Guy Hobsbawm

London based Ario is a practitioner of deep and inquisitive music both as a DJ and curator of his label Astral Industries. 
Although his remit falls within the deeper shades of electronic music, his overall aesthetic draws on a broader spectrum that prizes the synthesis of both instrumental and electronic disciplines. 
Depending on context, he traverses the lines and forms between the ambient and techno worlds. What is common in each, however, is his alchemic handling of rich organicism mixed with darker, more austere sounds. 
Speaking with an emotive sensitivity, there is a certain self-awareness that permeates his crafted soundscapes, which are as much drone inspired as they are psychedelic and nature-driven.

Our featured international artist this month is @yoelsimoni [@Parallel-perceptionseries / OBSCURE] Tel Aviv, Israel

Originally from Istanbul and now living in Tel Aviv, Yoel has been involved in making a huge impact by creating online platforms and running a crew pushing boundaries in not just local but international Techno stage. OBSCURE is a collective that Yoel and friends and initiated 2 years ago and since have been running very successfully out of Tel Aviv hosting weekly events. Early this year, the collective went on to create Parallel Perception, a platform that has been showcasing some of the greatest international acts.

Yoel’s style has been greatly influenced by his exposure to electronic music from a very young age. This has helped him carve his unique identity in creating engrossing shamanic sets that clearly shows his mastery on the genre. This mix he did for us is an absolute wonder that starts with melancholic ambient sounds and slowly builds up to what could be his best work yet!

In the season leaves should love,
since it gives them leave to move
through the wind, towards the ground
they were watching while they hung,
legend says there is a seam
stitching darkness like a name.

Now when dying grasses veil
earth from the sky in one last pale
wave, as autumn dies to bring
winter back, and then the spring,
we who die ourselves can peel
back another kind of veil
that hangs among us like thick smoke.

Tonight at last I feel it shake.

I feel the nights stretching away
thousands long behind the days,
till they reach the darkness where
all of me is ancestor.

I turn my hand and feel a touch
move with me, and when I brush
my young mind across another,
I have met my mother's mother.

Sure as footsteps in my waiting
self, I find her, and she brings
arms having answers for me,
intimate, a waiting bounty.

"Carry me." She leaves this trail
through a shudder of the veil,
and leaves, like amber where she stays,
a gift for her perpetual gaze.
