Polygonia returns to the home ground, IO records with the third EP named "Deformed Human Nature." The four-track EP presents Polygonia in her typical fashion, pushing organically created rhythms "one step further."
'The Desire for Independence' is all about the rolling groove driven by congas and layered with numerous little details that pop in like fireflies in the dark. It's one of those tracks that create a perfect 'calm before the storm' on the dance floor.

Our next artist is an amazing artist from south of France, Like the Inuit people, he composes music to tell his environment, from his perspective: a landscape, a wind, an animal. he gradually shapes a personal style, mixing organic rhythms and atmospheric textures, between poetry and intensity. His work has been featured on hadal-resonance, @oslated and is the co-founder of @melifera_records. His most recent EP on his label included fantastic remixes by @eyvind-blix and @forestonstasys. For this mix he curates a skillfully blended array of deep techno, eclectic downtempo and blissful electronica. Influenced by the deeper sounds of techno, atmospheric, and most things unconventional, she views the art of mixing as a spiritual practice that seeks to "balance relationship to mind and body. Her sets lean in the direction of storytelling, turning the moment's vibe into sonic passages, usually with a dark and moody undertone that reveal splashes of light and space to feel. Our next artist started more than a decade ago collecting and mixing music.  His background and taste is always gravitated towards underground & psychedelic music, but over past few years he understood the wider range of sounds that techno can express. Pursuing this new found love and appreciation his most recent sessions have cultivated a mixture of deeper blends of hypnotic and mental explorations of sound. He most recently released a podcast called Altrove. As for this journey he sets the mood with elongated transitions and subtle builds of pulsating rhythms an heady ambience. As a sign of solidarity, and an attempt to bring a shimmer of light into the current dark times, Monument has gathered a selection of tracks for a VA compilation. All profits from the release will go to the Norwegian Refugee Council’s fundraising campaign for the people of Ukraine, who need help now.

The diverse musical contributions were created by artists in over ten different countries - spanning from Scotland to Georgia, and Finland to Spain - reflecting the uniting power music can have beyond borders. The release’s sound palette ranges from introspective ambient pieces to dark and broken beats as well as more hopeful timbres.

Guiseppe Tillieci, Gianluca Meloni and Iacopo Sposaro from Enisslab studio have been so generous to offer the mastering for all the tracks. We wish to deeply thank both them and each of the contributing artists for lending their creative energy to this collaborative gesture for peace.

Cobahn (@cobahn) is a Korean DJ, and started her musical journey as part of Seoul’s deep spiritual techno scene. She currently resides in Amsterdam, where she continues to explore and expand her musical horizons. Her music is influenced by Oriental philosophies and awe-inspiring mother nature, and combines deep and experimental styles, which she blends into an authentic soundscape. She is focusing on all kind of deep music filled with organic, hypnotic and avant-garde touches.
