For my horny mixtape, I selected tracks that make me feel grounded and in my body—music that makes me shake my hips, snap my fingers and throw my hands up in the air. I wanted to take the listener on a journey of embracing their own sexuality, and to bring them face to face with the thoughts and feelings that they might encounter over that process. Sometimes it feels cheeky and flirty, slinky and slippery, aggressive and throbbing. In the end, I hope it makes you feel excited and empowered, and that you’ll listen to it as a way to celebrate yourself, wherever you are on your journey to self-acceptance <3

NYC based KIA (@daviejones_jr + @antwyone-ingram), while most certainly reflective of chaotic times, is a celebratory cauldron of sounds from BIPOC and Queer artists. It is an ode to ballroom, house, and the black and brown tastemakers that inhabit predominantly white techno spaces but are often overlooked, undermined or paid no mind. 

KIA represents sisterhood. She is your good Judy, your good GF, or the queen you KI with on the dance floor and you simply don’t know her name... so you toss her a “what’s good, KIA?” She knows she’s that girl, and you know it too, and you collectively “carry” to celebrate the occasion. 

BARBA wants to acknowledge everyone joining our #STAYHOMO campaign and supporting every fundraiser linked to each mixtape.
