"Another Run uniquely merges indie rock with soulful melodies, catchy enough to make pop artists jealous. The band has managed to carve a spot for themselves in the Houston music scene, owing much to their renowned live performances... they are not an act to be missed" (Houston Press) Starting out with founding members Adrian Grammer on drums, Bob Lane on bass, and Zak Weathers on guitar, these 3 grew up learning how to play and write music together as teenagers. After a few years without finding the right vocalist, Adrian took on the role of lead singer, while keeping his position on the drum kit as well. "No Sleep Tonight" was the first effort from the group in this format, and it showed the growing pains of a young and hungry band. After a few years of honing their songwriting skills, they followed up with the release of "I'll Be There". Just before the release, they decided to have a new drummer take the throne, and Adrian finally become the actual front man they were always looking for. Shortly after, a second guitar player was added into the mix, and with the addition of keyboards also thrown into the equation, the sound became even more dynamic. With their next release titled "Be Honest" you heard an evolution from the Rock, Indie, Alternative sounds heard on their previous album "I'll Be There", as they continued to add even more flavors of Prog, Pop, and Soul into the fold. "Be Honest" took things into a new element, and you began to see a band starting to forge a sound all their own. Another exciting chapter has just begun for the band, as brothers Andy & Aj Martinez have recently joined the group on drums and guitar, respectively. These 2 have been playing together their whole lives, and the collective chemistry between them and the 3 original members is off the charts! Writing for the next album is already in the works, and the guys are getting ready to release the new single titled "700 Days". Another Run has shared the stage with some amazing artists such as Mutemath, Glassjaw, Maps & Atlases, Ok Go, and New Politics, as well as festival bills with the likes of Jack White, The National, Vampire Weekend, Deftones, Cage The Elephant, and many more. ﻿The band is now hitting the road on tour, so be on the look out in a city near you!
