▌I How did you prepare this mix and what was your main inspiration?
I wanted to give the listener a musical summary of my work as a producer. I just love working on new music in the studio, it's a kind of therapy for me. But I also like to be a DJ, that there is now a podcast only with my own tracks was in the end a little coincidence. But it´s 100% me and i think it couldn't be more personal.

▌II Which tracks marks a highlight in your set?
It's one of those things with liking..., I love all the tracks but at the same time I get annoyed with them sometimes. But my little highlight is the second track, „Thorn“. I did that with my close friend Ronny (Mollono.Bass) under our alias Green Lake Project. 
I love spending time with him and he's one of those people you just like to have around all day.

▌III Could you take us through a day in your life, from a possible morning routine through to your work?
This is how it usually works for me:
Get up at 8 o'clock in the morning. How it really works is more like this... I start the night before to set the first alarm clock at 7:30. From then on it rings every 5 minutes until I finally fall out of my bed, of course totally annoyed, because it´s 8:10 allready . In this critical phase of the day, not even Iron Man would dare to address me. 
On the direct way to the espresso maker I then make my way to the bathroom to brush my teeth and as soon as I hear that the coffee is ready, I stand with the cup in hand ready for my morning liter of youth and inspiration. 
Depending on the day, I sit around 08:30 freshly dressed in the car on the way to the 3000Grad office or in the dirty T-shirt from the day before in my studio. 
Around 14:00 either the hunger or my dear girlfriend reminds me of my breakfast and after the second studio round, (around 18:00) i try to end my work. Except on days like today ;-) (22:19) 
In the evening I like to go for long walks with my girlfriend and enjoy the time with her. 
00:00 I lie in bed with remorse, because I have forgotten the last half hour … absolutely lost in social media.

Seien wir mal ehrlich: Nichts liegt so nah beieinander wie Musik und Sex!

Und dieses Set ist das perfekte Vorspiel für eine lange Clubnacht... Denn wie die Hand einer/s Geliebten leitet Cerin mit sanften aber bestimmten Griff in einen Abend voller Emotionen und Ekstase. Lust & Bass rollen gleichermaßen an und verbreiten sich wellenartig durch den Körper, die Drums werden stetig druckvoller und härter, die Intensität der Musik steigt nach und nach an.

Dies alles, ohne zu überfordern. Bei all der Steigerung lässt Cerin auch kurze Erholungspausen mit verspielten Melodien, nur um danach das Tempo weiter anzuziehen, den Beat zu droppen und beim Bass noch eine Schippe drauf zu legen, um die Tanzenden ins Schwitzen und den Club auf Betriebstemperatur zu bringen.

Wer schon heiß ist und/oder kein (musikalisches) Vorspiel mag, sondern  direkt zur Sache kommen will, ist gerne eingeladen, das Set bis ca. 00:47 vorzuspulen.

"Give Me Your Love" is a joyful track that I've always loved, evoking a celebratory mood in the true spirit of disco even though it was released well after the primary disco movement of the late 1970s. Originally performed by the Italian group Fun Fun, this song is a quintessential piece of Italo disco—a genre that emerged in the early 80s, characterised by its electronic instrumentation and vibrant energy. I vividly recall sitting in front of a record player, captivated by the jubilant spirit of the vocals and the infectious rhythm, listening to it over and over again when it was originally released.
In reimagining "Give Me Your Love" for "The Afterlife," I sought to bridge the past and present, infusing the track with modern production techniques while honouring its roots. This song has taken longer to produce than any other on the album, reflecting the intricate process of capturing its essence and transforming it into something new.
The production journey for "Give Me Your Love" has been akin to navigating a creative maze, filled with unexpected turns and moments of inspiration. At times, it has felt like sculpting a gigantic piece of marble, requiring infinite patience and a willingness to delve into the details. Ultimately, "Give Me Your Love" is not just a song; it's a dialogue between the jubilant past of disco and the boundless possibilities of the present, inviting listeners to experience the freedom and joy that disco can bring.
