  This song began with a request to Josh made by Karin-Maria about contributing an original song as a collaboration for her new jazz album called Jazztastic. After fleshing out a song on the piano, Josh had to get his right-hand man Ken involved to add the drums, because of course he did. After they had worked it out, they sent it back to Karin-Maria, who added the sax solo. She had it professionally mixed and mastered, primarily because the album is now available to stream on all the major platforms. So, please give the whole thing a listen. It has a bunch of collaborators on it, many of whom you will probably recognize. We hope you enjoy this song as much as we enjoyed creating it. A side note, this is Josh's first jazz song that he's ever written

narration: the lure of ancient lore derives partly from all the huge gaps in the stories that allow poets to fill in whatever they consider fit. nice.  this poem centers around the mythical figure of Wodan/Odin - often regarded as an older equivalent to Hermes/Mercury (who is supposed to be all youthful) due to their inspired furors - his visit to Mimir‘s well and his two ravens whose sight spans the globe … in the case of this poem, time as well ....
