Biography (ENG)

David Simon - formerly known as NUMEK- is a well a respected artist in Modern Music Arts. 2002 was the first year when he started to become familiar with electronic music, and that time he was mainly influenced by Goldie’s stuff. In 2003 he was already spinning his vinyls in smaller clubs, usually ambient, trip-hop and jungle records. That was also the year when he started creating his own music, using a very simple and primitive software alongside with nicked and really poor quality loops. 
The following two years brought many changes in David’s life. Him and his friend – Unabomber - purchased a high tech software and finally they could create their own music, in decent style and using superb samples. The scene started to trust the guys, and Numek was perfoming with his LIVE ACT sets @ many many events.
In 2006 David finally released his first EP, followed by AMEN TERRORIST, what is still one of the most loved tune in the world of Hardcore D’n’B! The track brought success to him. He become worldwide well-known, and the international labels had started queuing for his music. Suddenly not just in Europe, but in Australia and in the USA the name NUMEK was equal with quality. In 2007 he was performing as a member of Pure Disorder too. 
After his devastaing entrance into the Hardcore Drum and Bass Scene, he decided to change the breaks into calm, but still uplifting 4/4s. Alongside with his friend Angskar - under the name of David Depth - they try to deliver the same quality, why David as Numek is beloved worldwide. 
The Experts of the Legendary Hooj Choons, Lost Langangue ..and many more..decided to support the Hungarians, and they are releasing the first David Depth EP, under the label: COHAGEN RECORDS.

Simon Dávid (az egykoron Numek néven dolgozó producer) a mai napig nagy elismerésnek örvend a modern zenei társadalomban.
Dávid 2002-ben kezdett megismerkedni az elektronikus zenével, a legtöbb hatást Goldie gyakorolta rá. 2003-tól a jungle mellett már trip-hop-ot és ambientet is játszott dj-ként, természetesen bakelitről. Ugyanebben az évben kezdett el zenét is írni egy igen primitív szoftverrel, silány minőségű kivágott hangokkal. A 2004-2005-ös év sok változást hozott Dávid zenei életében. A fő irányvonalát a tört ütemek kezdték reprezentálni, barátjával Unabomberrel, akivel rengeteg zenét írtak, pedig sikerült egy komolyabb programra is szert tenniük és kialakítva saját stílusukat, a szcéna bizalmát elnyerve Numek már LIVE ACT előadóként is kezdett ismertté válni a D'n'B-t hallgatók táborában.
2006-ban jelent meg első lemeze, ami óriási siker volt, az ugyanebben az évben megjelenő AMEN TERRORIST pedig az egyik legtöbbet játszott darabbá nőtte ki magát, ami nemzetközi elismertséget és turnék sorát hozta meg Dávidnak. A külföldi kiadók is sorban álltak a zenékért, és hirtelen a NUMEK név Európa mellett Ausztráliában és az USA-ban is egyenlővé vált a minőséggel. 2007-ben a Pure Disorder formáció egyik tagjaként is sikerült minőségi zenéket szállítania a piacra.
A Hardcore Drum and Bass-be való egyedülálló belépője és annyi sikeres év és nemzetközi fellépés után Dávid elhatározta, hogy a törteket lágyabb, de mégis a saját énképét és zenei világát tükröző 4 negyedekre váltja fel. Barátjával közösen 2010-ben indították útjára DAVID DEPTH néven azt a projectet, amiben ugyanazt a minőséget próbálják a hallgatóiknak szállítani, amiért Dávidot, mint Numeket világszerte szeretik és elismerik.
A legendás Hooj Choons, Lost Language..stb. kiadók sokat hallott szakértői a demók meghallgatása után elsőként álltak a Magyarok mögé, és ennek gyümölcseként a COHAGEN RECORDS égisze alatt jelentetik meg a "Truptek EP-t", ami a legismertebb oldalakról (Beatport, Amazon, itunes, Audiojelly, Juno...stb.) 2010. November 8-tól letölthető.

For those who don't know, Bizzy B's Brain label was one of the most futuristic in the early days when hardcore was becoming jungle. From 92-94 they released some of the best junglistic'ardcore there was. Classics like Darkness, Weekend, Dubplate Wars, 2 Dope ep, and artists like TDK whose TOG sublabel was a peak of amen choppage). Brain also put out the debut releases of Marc Caro (Technical Itch), Peshay and DJ Zinc (in the Swift and Zinc eps) and Slammin' Vinyl's Mike Slammer and Red Alert's first 2 releases. Bizzy also released many a classic on other labels such as Slowjam & DarkIII on Whitehouse, Stamina and Raw Dogs Relik on Suburban Base and many more. He's recently been producing 2-step and Breaks with his Undercover Agents label and still releases drum'n'bass under "Warped Science" (latest being 'After F' on Charge with DJ Fresh on the same ep). Brian's ep for us is a new update of the Old Skool sound "New Old School" if you will. Using todays production values so it'll kick in a drum'n'bass set in 04. As played by Andy C, Bailey et al...
