Everybody is looking for the meaning of life, that is, what it means to have a Life in the Universe. Religions, spiritual theories and science have tried since the dawn of ages to solve this mystery in order to reach this elusive understanding. But perhaps we do not need to reach the catharsis of a final understanding, maybe we can just accept life as it is and linger in the sonic treasures that Taboo has given us. 

This oozing piece is made by Taboo, aka Michael Mordehayov, an Israeli artist (also known as Space Hypnose) originally from Azerbaijan, and slowly conquering the entire psychedelic realm. In this EP Mordehayov leaps back to his Chill-Out origins to deliver the much needed soothing sounds that wrap you in a sea of clouds into the Promised Land. 

Life in the Universe will always remain a mystery, an unveiled slippery thing that escapes our sensorium endlessly. Therefore, there is no need to look for an Astrological Symbol in order to try and reach some kind of answer. It will always be this thing that is between Lost Worlds. So why don’t you just enjoy the journey and accept life as it is?

Pulse Drift starts the album with a deep, atmospheric, ethnic dub track that vibrates the soul and prepares your ears for the coming journey. New comer Tampered DNA brings us a slow rhythm trip hop track with lots of old school flavors and interesting vocals. Antandra's 'Etheric Dub' is a melodic groove-step filtered tune full of future bass and top notch production techniques. Intrinsic keeps the atmospheres alive with a psychedelic cybernetic breakbeat, layered with vocal distortions and rich textures. Pericles drops a minimal bass bomb, fused with night time club sounds, deep tribal rhythms, and a morphing jungle bass. Twin Shape's dreamy 45 is a sweeping and epic chilled tune full of bright melodies and crisp textures. Finally Progress ends the release with a sleep inducing journey, combining floaty melodies with a subtle beat and warm bass taking your mind to another level.

Chill Selections Pt. 2 is another amazing array of downtempo tunes from some of the best in underground artist in the US.

Sol y Luna (LostInSound V/A 004) [FREE DL!]

Sol y Luna by Antandra was featured on the @LostinSound Spring compilation, and is infused with a melody inspired by an "Icaro", which is a chant sung in Shipibo healing ceremonies. A short clip sampled from the original is looped on top to create a dynamic soundscape. The Shipibo people have a beautiful culture that is both ancient and timeless, and I wanted to portray that through my music. The name 'Sol y Luna' is Spanish for 'Sun and Moon' and represents a balance between the masculine and the feminine.
