Die Ideen zu der neuesten EP vom Gespann @buchneroberst stammen ursprünglich aus einem Pool von Track-Entwürfen, die ursprünglich mal für ein Album gedacht waren. „Die Tracks sind etwas anders als unsere bisherigen Veröffentlichungen, weniger auf den Dancefloor ausgerichtet, eher experimenteller mit vielen Pop-Einflüssen“, erzählen Andreas Buchner und Sebastian Oberst, „wir haben uns da eher ausgetobt, viel ausprobiert. Vermutlich spielen da poppige Einflüsse aus unserer Kindheit eine gewisse Rolle, die wohl aber eher unbewusst mit eingeflossen sind.“ Herausgekommen ist die 3-Track-starke „Emile“. „Greg“ kommt daher wie ein Breakbeat-Bad voller sommerlichen Akkorde. Es ist ein melodischer Track mit spirituellen Gefühlen geworden. (...) Veröffentlicht wird die EP am 19. Juni 2017 auf dem Imprint @freeridemillenium. (...)

Numb from the never-ending flood of information competing for our attention day after day, we end up unwilling to slow down for anyone, we are unable to take the time to stop and connect with the people we care about, too tired to protest.

"Strong" is the new single by Berlin-based artist Ant Antic. The latest taste of the upcoming album is an exceptionally personal and intimate insight into the adolescence of singer and producer Tobias. "Strong" is a courageous song about the self-imposed pressure to be strong, about trying to look tougher, stronger, and more successful on the outside – and the liberating feeling of finally learning to drop the mask and embrace who you are.

"Growing up as the youngest in a family of strong characters, I've learned early on not to show weaknesses.", Tobias recalls. "At least in part, I think this was the reason why I started writing music – which, for me, had to be better than everyone else’s. Growing up and learning to do the things I love just for myself has helped me free myself from these patterns of thought and brought me closer to my family and myself."
