Anthony Maffei has been DJing forever and has the pictures to prove it! As an infant you could find Anthony joyfully spinning on his father’s turntables loving every moment! Maffei, hailing from an extremely creative and musically influenced family, was able to gain the creative knowledge and disc jockeying experience right from the comfort of his own home. As a child, you could catch Anthony inside of his father’s trophy room playing with toys. Only this was not your ordinary trophy room in slightest. Anthony’s Father, Ettore Maffei, an extremely successful local DJ otherwise know as DJ Tony “Mini Mix” Maffei, had a large "practice" studio in the basement of their north New Jersey home. With the stage seemingly set, Anthony Maffei began his career as a DJ at the young age of seven.

Soon enough, Maffei found himself learning off what his father began his career on, Technics SL-1200 turntables with true vinyl records, and an original Urei Eight Channel Rotary Mixer. Over the next few years Maffei’s knowledge of what the equipment did, how it worked, and how to utilize it properly, grew exponentially. At the age of twelve, Maffei acquired a set of small rack top cd players and mixer made by Stanton. This is where he again began to build up skill, trust, and this time even a small fan base stemming from his home basement. Maffei’s first claim to public fame was landing a large gig at his local High School during his freshmen year. His performance at the high school lead to an explosion of follower’s throughout the area, becoming seemingly viral throughout the current social media networks.

From that point on, at the bright age of fifteen years old, Maffei had been receiving the attention he had been working so hard to achieve. Later that year, Maffei had been offered his first nightclub set at a local venue in Haledon, NJ. Maffei’s success at the venue began to grow and quickly worked his way up to becoming the resident DJ. From that point on, Maffei rapidly became recognized as one of the true up and coming stars in the DJing business. From there Maffei went on to start his own mobile DJ company, which was LLC registered and fully insured, which proved to be very successful. Maffei soon found himself amidst crowds of five and six hundred, and managers offering him signed contracts with their promotional companies.

At the age of eighteen, Maffei signed his first venue booking manager contract with NJ Pulse Nightlife. From then on out Maffei had DJed nearly three times per week, quickly moving up the nightlife chain. Before he knew it, Maffei was receiving invites to play at largely renowned clubs, such as Pacha in New York City, and Bliss Nightclub in Clifton New Jersey at the young age of 18. From that point on DJing at large scale nightclub venues, and even stadium events became an average day of work and enjoyment for Maffei.

Today, Maffei is a full time student at the University of Hartford where he is currently looking forwarding to graduating this December 2014. Currently Maffei maintains a residency in two nightclub venues in the Downtown Hartford nightlife scene. In the NY/NJ area Maffei answers his followers needs through consistent venue bookings at College Events, Local Nightlife Venues, and of course through private party functions. Maffei remains to be the source of every organizations musical entertainment at off campus events.

Maffei is most notably recognized by the unique sound he brings to each and every event that he does, making every track with a sound of his own. Maffei is known for making crowds move with hard-hitting dance music, top 40 mashup’s, and being able to adapt to any crowd in any situation.
