This started as something else, I forget what now ..... I liked how it sounded and I quickly recorded a vocal without much thought and the story of a willow tree just came out. A 2022 creation, made with my manipulated voice, and some samples

This mix was created for my dear wife, who can’t bare all the energetic beats that I usually litter my tracks with. So this is a stripped down, slowed down version with a little more work put in on the spiritual side of things, with atmospherics being emphasised.

I’ve got to be honest and say that I probably prefer this mix to my original, but it’s horses for courses as they say. Please give the original version a listen and let me know what you think - I’d be genuinely interested in your honest opinion.

Tum Ko Na Hai Patha

All instruments of the track were played by me. Tongue drums  a 10 inch tongue drum and a six inch tongue drum creating rhythms on them both to create like a call and response effect. With rhythm from hi and low egg shakers. A Wooden whistle blown into and controlled by a stick pulled back and forth to vary the sound. Audio recorded on my mobile of traffic passing by. Footsteps on the beach as i was walking across. With sea waves coming in and out moving shingle on the beach.

I made this song live in 2018 by recording a couple of tracks on the loopstation with guitar, reverb, and delay. shame not to be able to divide the tracks for a more accurate editing. but I am still very satisfied with the final result.

Attained a level 5 Pearson BTEC higher National Diploma in August 2021 in music Production & Sound Design at East sussex college Hastings .
